Another great innovation by RAMBUS, but as has been said, when will we
see it in our PC's.
Sony is using XDR in the PS3 and uses RDRAM in the PS2, but when will
it grace our humble desktops?

DDR2 timings
Hi all, I recently got my rig up and running, it's an Asus P5AD2-E mobo with a 550 prescott and 1gb OCZ5400EB DDR2. My question is about the memory timings... what are your best recorded timings on a DDR2 system? I have managed to get mine down to 3-2-2-1 at 2.2v (the board's max) while the SPD timi...

it's 100% stable at those voltages and speeds. as long as i keep my temps below 60C. the highest load i've put the system under was when it was still running at 3.99ghz on 1.4250vCore. I was compiling my HL2 mod and playing HL2 at the same time, and all that happened was that my CPU temperature reac...

That's very strange indeed, Tom's got the Pentium D up to 4 gig on water cooling with 20x200. they did say however that the system is not very stable above 3.8 but i have just realised how they bugged the scores, they used terrible timings on their RAM! at 667 they had timings of 5.0-5-5-10, which m...

sorry, should have been more specific, what does that system score on superPi and Aquamark and possibly even 3dMark 01? will the memory speed make a difference on a 4gig system with ddr667 and ddr1174? and how much? the bandwidth is phenomenal at 1174, but what applications will actually benefit fro...

so when is the official release dat for the 955X? coz im sure the tier 1 manufacturers will give much more leeway when it comes to overclocking. Asus currently has the best overclocking 925XE mobo, and you can set the fsb way over 294mhz. how do the benches look at 4gig and mem at 1174? any scores w...

So much work I just can't keep up. Hopefuly I'll get that going with the OCZ. I'm also getting some stuff from Mu...

i found the review i was looking for, it's on anandtech and they managed to clock the 4200EB modules to 821mhz with timings of 4-2-3-8. because of the fact that the modules would more than likely be destroyed with the removal of teh heatsinks, they were not removed, but they are most likely micron. ...

i see you're using Corsair mem with 3-2-2-8 timings, how does this compare to the OCZ 5400EB with 4-2-2-8 timings on the 955X? i know the now old OCZ 4200EB could be clocked to 800+mhz on a 925XE system. has anyone tried the OCZ yet? would be very interesting to see a side-by-side comparison of the ...
