Thanks for the reply, yes i am only installing 1 for now, I will be adding a 2nd later just to add some storage space for backups etc. But the bios setting, it has 3 options for sata config, they are "SATA config for (IDE), (Raid) or (AHCT)" which one do I choose if I am not going to load ...

I have an intel motherboard D945GTP. I have a SATA hard drive. I have read the readme files and installation documentation. I am still not clear. All I want to do is install 1 SATA hard drive, do I boot up in F6 to install the raid driver before I install Windows XP, or do not install the raid drive...
