Are you looking for basic shared hosting, or a VPS perhaps. Basic shared can range from 5-15 bucks a month for cheap plans. For around 30 you can get a VPS which gives you full root access, so you can host multiple sites on one machine. HostEasier is a good VPS.

New Quake 4 E3 Trailer - crazy mad resolution

Activision just put out a new trailer for Quake 4. There is a brief description of the trailer, plus links to the downloads at http://www.game-instructions.com/news/quake-4-trailer/ (sorry, kinda a cheap plug. But, if you don't want to download the sucker, you can at least read about it and check ou...

Ahh.. but its better than that. Actually the PS3 has TWO 1080p outputs, so you can have side-by-side HDTVs for enhanced gameplay.

Well, I for one was pissed about the original xbox, and the non-boxy shape of it. It made it hard to stack a dvd player, vcr, ps2, etc., on top if it. The concave design won't prohibit that, but it'll still not look right. Time will tell. I hope Microsoft hasn't tipped their hand too soon. I'll also...

When I first saw the top image a few weeks ago, I figured it was just some fake mock-up that someone pieced together from funky shots found on ourcolony. If the bottom picture is for real, (and I'm guessing it is, because other images of the controller have been found), it looks like they haven't ch...

Yeah, I know I'm not on the roster yet. I'm guessing its because I haven't completed any work units yet. My wife's computer is super slow, and I just stuck it on there last night, so its not really doing much. The IBM laptop is pretty old as well, and I turned off folding when I took it to the offic...

Yeah, I've installed folding on a couple of my machines - an IBM laptop and my wife's old emachine. Once I get it going on my two linux boxes as well, I'll be able to help out a bit more.

And MySQL 5.0 (in beta right now) will offer triggers, views, and stored procedures. I would expect that to make MySQL more sensible to enterprises as well.

Eh... I looked at this a while back. I got in, but then lost interest real fast. I guess I have a short attention span. Does it get interesting? Well, JohnPaulII.com is just one of those stupid parked Network Solutions domains that tries to make a buck off of domain name traffic alone. He'll probably get an influx of curiousity traffic because of the article, but after that he might as well just donate it to the church, because it isn't goin...

The Daily Show did a good spoof on reality tv shows once. They had a commercial for the next great reality show - where they would lock a bunch of reality tv show producers in a room until they came up with a great idea for the next big reality tv show. Then, it showed the common overly dramatic exc...

But its more than what kind of product they create. If Microsoft makes a better product, then they need to get the developers to utilize their features, and to come out with a bunch of high-demand platform-exclusive games. I think Microsoft may have learned a hard lesson, and that the platform quali...

Yeah. Its probably a very smart move on Microsoft's part. They are getting their console in front of the eyes of consumers before Sony (even if only by a few days), and more importantly consumers' first impressions are going to be exactly what Microsoft tells them it should be. If the press got firs...

Re: PlayStation 3 & Xbox 2 to debut on May 16th

The waiting will be over on 16 May. On that day, at 3PM PST, Sony will take the wraps off PlayStation 3. Three hours later, Microsoft will unveil Xbox 2. There is more to it than that, however. According to this slashdot article (which in turn points to a VE3D article) Microsoft will give their fir...
