sorry for the late reply. it has been awhile now and everything still runs fine. i believe i changed the heat sink, cleaned the CPU surface before i installed my arctic cooler. before i had a different heat sink, which i did not like. bought the cooler and cleaned the top before putting it on there....

sparky, thanks so much for the detailed explanation. i did what you said, but it still does not work. i get the same old error like i did before. i disabled only watchdog...not the other one, EC1 or something like that. also, the temperture in the bios also showed 127C. should i be concerned about it?

what is Watchdog?

is that a term for a setting in the BIOS? i did not see anything like that when i was fiddling with it. :-k
