Re: We need to kick it in high gear to stay at 72 place!

I bet monthly drawings for active folders would keep people folding. :) Now if we can just procure 12 GTX 580 or 6970 cards. would have to be 580s, 6970s cant fold haha That should be resolved this year. I'm folding some here and there, with the Sandy Bridge launch then CES and just finis...

Re: cpu suggestion?

Unless you are dead set on staying with AMD you can have similar performance for much less money with a new Intel Sandy Bridge system. Consider Core i7 2600K $329.99 or Core i5 2500K if you want to save some money ASUS P8P67 Deluxe $239.99 or ASUS P8P67 $159.99 if you want to save some money vs. AMD...

CES 2011: Hands on with the Motorola Atrix 4G and Zoom

CES 2011: Hands on with the Motorola Atrix 4G and Zoom Tablet. With the webtop dock from Motorola your phone can double as a netbook, or mild mannered desktop. This is certainly something that other companies will need to take notice of as Motorola has raised the bar well above what many people have...

You might try deleting your queue.dat file and change the machine id in the config. I saw that this helped someone having a similar issue with one of the other clients.

Re: Hide your kids, hide your wives...

It crashed on a p6900 just a few days after I left town and I haven't really messed with it. It just finished another SMP unit so I fired up -bigadv. It's running stock clocks at the moment but I probably won't run too many of these over the next couple of weeks, I have a ton of stuff going on and w...

Re: SMP2 only using one core

I use the guide linked at the download site and have no problems. http://folding.stanford.edu/English/WinSMPGuide I don't start folding by the hyperlink but by command line since I can quickly change between regular smp and bigadv. When you run the setup for the first time by command line with -conf...

Interesting news about the changes to the vapor change heatsink. I wasn't expecting the 570 to unlock to a 580 but that would have been nice! Great review and thanks for the info!

Now as an owner of the V+ I am assuming that I won't be able to get my grubby little paws on the firmware?

Thanks! Yep, SR-2. 2- x5650@ 3.6. Pulls right at 410w constant with a pair of stock fan H50's. CPU temps are nice and cool at 50c. I could easily push it higher but this is really close to the sweet spot of these processors. Well I may just have to beg and plead with the wife to pick up the i7-960 o...

Nice job on the review Joe! This a great case! It's tough enough to find an ATX case that will fit a beast like the 5970, let alone a Mini-ITX! Definitely geared toward the gaming side rather than a low power HTPC.

I am about maxed out on my production for now :) I could run the PS3 or even the dual-core systems but I don't think they would add much at all to the points I am getting now. I would love to have a wall full of core i7 server racks to run! As long as I had solar power that is :supz: -bigadv has a ...

Re: Overclocked GeForce GTS 450 Getting ~15k PPD

I was so close to getting a GTS 450 while I was out picking up my CPU....I avoid Microcenter as much as I can because it's just too tempting to spend money there. Looking at it strictly from a PPD view I might take the CPU back and get a pair of these for just a little more money. edit: I just read ...
