Initially, thats what i thought. Only later on for someone to tell me that that's not so. Then even later for another forum telling me the maximum I can go upto is 2.8ghz and so long as it is the northwood processor and not the prescott version. I am so confused and would like to hear everyones view...

So does that mean i can put either of the processors in then?? Is one better that the other. Ive been told the SL6S5 is hyperthreading and the SL726 is speed step technology. Is Hyperthreading better than Speed Step.

thanks for your reply. I thought both of those processors were mobile. Also i have used CPU-Z and that tells me my package is mPGA-478B. Does that not mean I have a 478 socket?

Pentium 4 processor SL726 or SL6S5

I have a Intel pentium 2.0ghz 4-M package mPGA-478B processor 400MHZ FSB in my laptop. I was wondering if either of the above processor would be compatible with my laptop and if so what are the difference between the 2 and which ones better. Any help appreciated.

Belkin Router with AOL Silver

Aol say that they don't offer any support for routers on AOL silver. I'm trying to set the router up but I need the AOL ISP number. They won't give it to me. Where can I find the ISP number??

Centrino's come with low CPU speed but very high Cache memory. I can get a normal laptop (which is wifi upgradeable) with a high CPU speed but half the Cache memory of the centrino. Example: A 1.6ghz with 1MB Cache or a 2.8Ghz with 512KB Cache??

What is faster a low speed processor with a high cache memory or Higher speed processor with a lower cache memory.
