If your login is set as an Admin and still have to "run as administrator" then sounds like its UAC (User Access Control) that is causing headaches.
I just turn that off, I found even Corsairs iCue software will sometimes not run right with UAC on.

Re: Cannot Install Any Applications On Windows 10
Things to look at
- Program not compatible with Win10
- Windows 10 in S mode
- other pending installs or previous version of software causing issues
- pending restart needed
- Do not have access rights to folder being changed
- UAC is preventing it somehow
- User profile corrupted.

Re: UPS Backup device
get 2 more surge ports on the Cyberpower, and slightly smaller than the APC. APC is a newer design, slightly bigger than the Cyberpower. The Trip Lite is a rack mount layout, charges little faster, least amount of surge and battery ports. Depending on how your desk is set up, this one could be annoy...

Re: UPS Backup device
Between home and work I have and use Eaton/Powerware, Cyberpower, and APC. Until to get up to serious power draw they all use basically the same battery, either single or in groups. First step is to figure out your power draw and get one that will fit the bill for how long you want something to keep...

Re: New Setup!
Nice Lian Li 011D clone.. just missing the 3.5" HDD trays on the back. Nice compromise for being half the price. Want to downsize a little, was looking at the 011D or 011D XL, and then I realized that its only 1" narrower than what I currently run, and I loose my 5.25 bay (yes, I have BR burner for ...

Re: Blue is better than Black!(56K Beware)
Recently moved back into town from the boonies (closest neighbor was ~200 yrds in any direction). I went from 10Mbps DSL (7 on a good day and kids asleep) to 200Mbps cable.... *insert holy music and gates opening* Yeah. Hate having close neighbors again, but love the speed. Looks like Gig fiber is a...

ROFLMAO - That is awesome. Wonder what plate they screwed into the bottom as that totally ruined it for real world use!! Maybe it was a bad one or scratched up or something. You'd be surprised what prop guys will destroy to get a prop. When people figured out that Luke's saber was made from the fla...

Re: Any thoughts on CineRAID SYSTEMS CR-H408
if you have enough spare parts or system, see if you have a board with enough SATA ports and setup FreeNAS. Its based on FreeBSD, and uses ZFS to make drive pools with parity. No RAID card needed, it can be picky about HBA controllers if you wanted to pick up a controller card to run more drives tha...

Re: CoolerMaster V8 GTS
being legacy doubt Cooler Master will have anything laying around.
Its a odd fan being round, LED, and Low profile (20mm).
I had an OG V8 cooler until about a month ago (moving purge, didn't even realize I had the thing lol), but the fans for that are not the same as the GTS.

HAHAHAHAHAHA upgrades you say??? Well our budget can't afford that..... Yeah, head of sales is somehow getting building updated (its 25 years old). Part of the face lift is redoing cube world, if he gets what he wants then would be easier to rewire the building than make the existing drops work. Fi...

I should get the $1200, what I don't qualify for is the forced 2 weeks full pay by employer for not being able to work or the modified FMLA that kicks in after that 2 weeks.
If I choose not to work I have to use PTO.
