What would you build?

In the next couple of weeks I'll be ready to build my new gaming rig. I have a $2,000 budget, and I have an idea of what I'm going to put together, but I'm curious as to what the rest of you guys would build. Maybe some of you could help me make the best choices here. The only real stipulations are ...

Re: how many can you do?

Image Man... Actually. Eating 100 of these push-ups in one sitting, is pretty impressive.
I'd be more likely to pull that off than doing 100 of those "other" push-ups.

Re: ix-Nay the ideo-vay ard-cay

Ive worked in the computer industry for 15 years now and my transition from XP to Ubuntu Linux was much smoother and pleasant than my transition from XP to Vista. Not because of performance problems or lack of drivers but mainly because of the direction they are taking towards features and layout. T...

Re: P2P hogging bandwidth?

im busy trying out crysis warhead
How is that by the way? I seen it at Target and almost picked up a copy. I bought Crysis and even upgraded my PC to play it at it's higest (or near highest ) settings. Although the game was beautiful, and interesting, I thought it was way too short.

Re: Who Needs the IT Guy Any More?

Sorry.... I have this uncanny ability to come across as some sort of asshole when it comes to forum discussions.
I don't mean to be, I just come across that way sometimes.
I'm not really that bitter over the whole subject, I've just had my fill of weatherbug, american flag screensavers, etc, etc.....

Re: Who Needs the IT Guy Any More?

This cracks me up, they write up these articles like this is some sort of new trend or something. IT personnel have been dealing with these so called "Power Users" for many, many, years. I prefer to call them "problem users". They know just enough to get themselves into trouble, ...

Re: May the makers of Net Framework BURN IN HELL

Yep, .NET is a beast. They had good intentions, but as most of Microsoft's offerings in the end, it's bloated with stuff that rarely gets used. I do some .NET programming as a hobby and sometimes for work related projects. What annoys me is that i can create a tiny little 400K application or service...

Re: 2 Questions

I have two of those MSI cards running in my rig right now. I have no complaints. At that price, you should have bought two of them. Does your mobo support SLI? Be careful of the MIR for NewEgg, it's very strict and you have little time to send it in. I lost out on a MIR for some memory from them bec...

Though if it had company information on it, that could be some pretty important data.
She would have be a true idiot to put company data into the hands of Best Buy.

Wait a minute.... You're not talking about Zuma are you?

Re: Zumba or zumbo virus?

Ok, so how do you know he has this Zumba or Zumbo virus?
Did some anti-virus software alert him to this? If so, I'd say it's likely that AV vendor has some info on their website in regards to that particular virus.
I also was unable to pull up any info on either of the two names you mentioned.

Yeah, I went ahead and ordered two of the MSI cards from Allstarshop.com for $250 a piece. I had them in my hands a week later.
Now I'm enjoying some serious Crysis goodness!
Dell can eat my balls....

That's a cool idea. I suppose those are battery operated.
I'd like a shirt with a monkey's head on it that puts his hands over his ears when I get too close to my wife.

I had high hopes for this flick, but was pretty disapointed.
