My power supply is a coolermaster with 20A of 3.3V, 20A of 5V and 32A of 12V. I am looking for power specs on a Q6600 but dont see any typical/max specs like I would like to see. Does anyone have a link to that data? The MB has some specs that I found. It gives a low and high number. The 3.3V is 2A ...

I am leaning toward the Q6600 but not sure how much power supply I really need to support quad core? I only have 500W PS.

Thanks. That is what I was afraid of. So the question is do I get a MB that supports my processor or do I get a processor that my MB supports? This looks like a good board but I am not sure what I do with an extra processor (or an extra MB)? It looks like the Q6600 is about $280 now. I can probably ...

I have a D975XBX2 + E6750 and the system wont boot. I see now that the E6750 is not supported. I have not built a system in 10 years so some of this is new to me.
