So I ran my 920 at 4.2 right out of the box but have steadily be reducing Core Voltage in an effort to get temps reasonable. Now I'm running 3.8Ghz at just 1.25v and still getting into the mid 80s on the cores. I've reseated the cooler many many times. Used both the Sample CM product and Arctic Silv...

Has anyone run their Venice over 1.6v for a while - like over 6 months? My Silent Tower has no issues keeping it at 45c even at 1.65v, does that mean I can get away with it?

I am a fan of Tt's absurd line of Giant Heat sinks - quiet, effective, and conversation pieces. Although they do seem to require lapping as a rule - The SilentTower I have had a giant blemish that took an hour or two to remove - it was unusable out of the box. Still worth the effort, I'm in.
