Ethernet Problem
I'm running Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, and I can't get Windows to recognize the ethernet controller. I have a D975XBX2 with the 2831 firmware, and I've installed the latest chipset drivers. Attempting to install the Intel PRO Network Connections Driver results in the installer telling me i...

Re: D975XBX2 SATA Help
Two of them are 80GB each in a RAID 0 array, and the third is 250gb. I also have a optical drive hooked up as well.

D975XBX2 SATA Help
I originally setup my computer with two SATA drives in a RAID array and an optical drive, all three on the Intel Matrix controller. Fast forward several months and I've gotten a third SATA drive. I hook it up, and boot. Under the BIOS and RAID configuration utility, it shows up. However, it does not...

Re: D975XBX2 Shutdown/Standby Problem
Sorry for the late response. There are 3 fans in the case, 2 of which are case fans connected directly to the power supply, and the 3rd is the CPU fan which is directly connected to the motherboard. None of them turn off in standby or when shutoff. As for power connections to the board, there is a m...

Re: D975XBX2 Shutdown/Standby Problem
Sorry for the late response.
Intel finally got back to me, and hinted at it being a power supply problem.
When I get some time, I'll check the connectors and what not before resorting to getting a new power supply.

I'll hunt for another power supply.

Re: D975XBX2 Shutdown/Standby Problem
Actually, the first thing I did after getting all the hardware in place was to flash the BIOS to 2809. So yes, 2809 is the only version I have been using. Where might I find an older version, that might work better?

Re: D975XBX2 Shutdown/Standby Problem
The only devices under Device Manager that had a Power Management tab were the Mouse, Keyboard, and USB Root Hub (x 5). USB: Allow the computer to turn this device off to save power. Mouse & Keyboard: Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby. I unchecked each one, to no avail. I fo...

I suspected this, so I went ahead and disabled "Wake from standby" for both my mouse and keyboard. No progress.

D975XBX2 Shutdown/Standby Problem
Hello everyone, I recently built my first system, and happened to choose the D975XBX2 motherboard. After updating the BIOS to 2809, and installing drivers for the chipset and the rest of my components, I attempted to shut down my computer. All that happens is the two SATA hard drives spin down and p...
