Re: recent forum posts
OK on that. But still why recent posts are gone from the start page? 99% of the time I visit LR, for sure, I'm not going to go to forums-quick-...bla bla.-.. -bla just to see is there something interesting, or someone asking for help, or anything. I don't think there is no space on the start page fo...

Re: AMD A10-6800K upgrade to AMD FX-8350 ??
Soon going to upgrade to 9590. My friend wanted to by 8350 + mb + ram, so I'll sell him the 8350 and the ram (16gb). And get 9590 + 32gb ram. So we'll see how the cooler will perform with cpu. And I guess I'll post pictures from the rig (finally).

Re: AMD A10-6800K upgrade to AMD FX-8350 ??
That said, you would not regret going with FX8350 or 9370.
Or you can wait for a bit longer (another year) and see what has AMD prepaired.

Yes, it would. A lot.
And why not try intel i5? About same amount of money. And for most everyday things (gaming among) it is faster.

Re: GeForce GTX 550 Ti mixed memory density. Really?!?
Really! It does. And I thought that it was just a marketing. The card was connected to a 1440x900 monitor, and was used happily ever before, without ever thinking to connect to another one. I guess I thought that 1440x900 resolution was enough to fill the ram and even more, not thinking too much of ...

GeForce GTX 550 Ti mixed memory density. Really?!?
I used (still do) this card for the past couple of years. And I am wandering is it really using the 1GB memory on it. I've never seen the memory usage above 768MB (start a GPU-Z and a game, and max. memory is 768MB).
Just curious, did anyone (owning this card) noticed anything?

Re: Are HTPCs Dead
Well, yeah. I guess you are right. NAS + BR player would do the trick. But I wanted to build htpc myself. Not to buy something that will work right out of the box :) And I agree that I don't explicitly need one. So again I think that htpcs are dying, but dead - no. Guess there will always be persons...

Re: Are HTPCs Dead
I'm also planing a new one. So, guess they are not. :P But I think that the number will go only down. Also planning to store A LOT of media on it (videos, music, pics, etc...). And about the one. Just to share something. I wanted silent htpc. Or as silent as possible. In this hole (where I live), I ...

Well it happend Wierd, but... try to fix the problem
Anyway, try them on another pc. If everything is ok (and i think it will be), just reinstall the os.
And since the software on your router is up to date now, you don't need to do that again

Same here. Agreeing with all from the previous reply. Go with a cheap motherboard.
And about that bulldozer... personally I think your configuration will last long enough. I dont think you'll need the bulldozer immediately. You can wait to see what it is and can do

Re: AMD Phenom II X4 910e 2.6GHz 65W TDP Processor Review
Not exactly important for the review, but if you are looking for energy efficient processor - might be. You did not include some energy efficient Athlon II processors in the table. dual core - 235e (2,7GHz), 240e (2,8GHz); triple core - 400e (2,2GHz), 405e (2,3GHz); quad core - 600e (2,2GHz), 605e (...

Re: HTPC Suggestions..
well, about ability for handling 3d bluray, i don't think will be a problem. i based my htpc around athlon 5050e + 780G and when playing bluray the cpu is loaded around 4-10% when using the gpu for decoding, and around 10-40% when gpu is not used. so again i don't think bluray 3d will be a problem. ...

Re: AMD & ATI 2010 Is It The Year?
In the low part segment AMD is doing just fine (if not better than Intel), both with price and quality, but is it going to stay that way trough 2010? ATI does not have any significant lead over nvidia, despite DX11 cards, and nvidia will roll out DX11 in 2010. But, with right pricing ATI will be OK....

Will work just fine. You can have problems, with the picture quality, with bigger monitors than yours. So, no worries.
