OK,I'm back cos I made a mistake... Just been experimentin' on my PC and had to reset the BIOS... after which My Computer Properties and CPU-Z said it was running at 800MHz! It used to say 2.4GHz.... I know this thread is old but it's so wrong I had to join and post
I have the exact same mobo and CPU: 800MHz is correct for this chip's HyperTransport FSB. It's not the CPU's processing clock (=2.4GHz). Don't worry about it. Too late now of course, cos you returned it to seller!
