Damn, I must be getting too into this whole married thing, but those were some of the least attractive booth babes I've ever seen. If these were the hot ones, I'd hate to see the rest.
On a side note, good layout though.

Re: Problems during Power Up
Got my PSU back from Zalman A/S. Changing out the PSU wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Probably because I only have 2HDDs, 1 ODD, and 1VGA to plug in. It's powered up OK and rebooted twice with no problems. Hopefully this will solve the problem, but I'm not declaring success until I go a wee...

Re: Problems during Power Up
So I tried to fix stuff last night. I tried changing RAM slots, swapping HDD connectors, etc. Still had the same problem this morning. I then had to try to find a PSU with an 8-pin ATX 12v connector, my old one was a 4-pin. Went to the shop and the only one they had was $75. I didn't want to spend t...

Re: Problems during Power Up
The problem is back...it was fine for several months, but has started up again. I took everything out of the system except the CPU and cooler, unplugged it all and then re-installed it all. I even swapped out a couple of the modular power cables. It worked fine for 2 days, but started up again. I to...

Re: Problems during Power Up
I actually took it to a shop today to see if they had a PSU they could throw in. They asked what the problem was and when I explained, they wanted to see it themselves...and it powered up just fine. Multiple power ups and it never faulted there. I brought it home and no problems here either. Oh well...

Re: Problems during Power Up
Any way to diagnose this without getting a new motherboard?DMB2000uk wrote:I just had my work computer die in a similar fashion. When you pressed the power button the fans would spin, but nothing would load (or display on the screen).
That was a bad motherboard.

Re: Problems during Power Up
A little update, it won't power up at all anymore. Just the fans running when I hit the power button. They don't stop, so I have to toggle the switch. Then the power button won't work at all for several minutes.

Problems during Power Up
Hello all, I've run into a bit of a problem and it's beyond my current abilities so I'm hoping someone here can chip in some advice to help me out. I got my current PC about 6 months ago... Gigabyte EP-45 DS3R, C2D E8400 with Zalman 9500AT cooler, ST PC2-6400 2x2GB, MSI HD4850, 7200.11 500GB, Zalman...

Re: Video Editing Machine Choice
get a very fast cpu, core i7 if he can afford it, along with a 300gb velociraptor and a 1tb drive for storage That would be an excellent machine for him to purchase if it weren't for the fact that the MB and the CPU alone would exceed his budget by about 25% without even looking at RAM, HDDs, etc. ...

Re: Video Editing Machine Choice
He's not doing any professional editing. Just stuff he takes while traveling around the world for his family and a documentary he's thinking about putting together. I forgot to mention, yeah 4GB of RAM and Vista 64 Ultimate. He's on a bit of a tight budget right now because he just had to dump a lot...

Video Editing Machine Choice
Hello all. My buddy is building a new PC that he will use mostly for video editing and encoding and stuff. He'll also be plugging it into a rather old 50" rear-projection TV. He's looking at some choices, and I would like some advice, since I don't do any editing, I'm not sure about what's best...

Re: Cryostasis PC Game TechDemo - Physics Benchmarking
Did I miss something in that article, or did it really show that 3 280s, almost $1000 in VGAs, only gave 65 FPS at 1280x1024? Then turn PhysX off and you get 12 FPS with a single card? What's up with this game that makes it SO DEMANDING????? I will admit right now that since I bought my new rig 6 mo...

Re: E8400 Issue
Thanks for the reassurances. This is the first top of the line machine I've had and I've never had anything like that happen so I was really worried that my computer wasn't as good as I thought. Thanks!

Re: E8400 Issue
Sorry to do this, but I just thought of something. I got the EP45-DS3R board and have it set up to conserve power by throttling my computer when it's not needed...is THIS what is happening with the multiplier? Here are the screenshots I took: http://lh6.ggpht.com/kprrok/SIr-fN6LeEI/AAAAAAAAE14/kbdyF...

E8400 Issue
Hello all, sorry to post yet another question about my new computer. I got everything squared away, and checked that everything was well-seated on the motherboard, except for the front panel sound which I just noticed isn't working! Anyway, I got CPUZ and CoreTemp running, and both are telling me so...

Case Fans
Hello all: Got my new computer and I've put an extra fan on the side of the case. There used to be a cone there to bring cool air to the processor, but with the after-market cooler I put on, it didn't fit. So the question is, should the fan on the side of the case be blowing in or out? I remember re...

Re: New Build Ordered
The boxes arrived on Friday when I was at work, so I had to wait until the night to get home and start working on building the beast. Imagine my surprise when I opened the motherboard box and it was empty! Yup, all the boxes were empty! I opened the case (felt heavier than it should have) and there ...

Re: New Build Ordered
Many thanks DaddyRabbit. I've browsed both manuals and I'm feeling much more confident about the build. I checked the delivery status and it's on the island I live on, but arrived too late to deliver it today, so I'll be getting it tomorrow. woo hoo!!!!!

Re: New Build Ordered
Your motherboard should come with all of the instructions needed for the build as well. Only problem with this is all of the directions will be in Korean! My Korean is ok, but not good enough to read installation instructions! Thanks for the tips and that website. I'll let everyone know how it goes...

New Build Ordered
I've finally ordered the parts for my new computer. I've been planning this build for about 8 months but had to delay it for several reasons. My wife finally told me to "order it now or you can't do it for 2 years." We've got a baby coming in October, so she wants to make sure we have plen...
