Re: New computer Build up and running, with some kinks
Major is exactly right, I'm using old parts for a new build and I'm actually very happy with it. If you had felt the pain of my old rig you would understand the blissful difference. It seems like I've figured out all my problems after I got off work today. I reformatted both 160gig drives and alloca...

Re: My first post!!
Haha Nope, only thing in the PCI slots is a soundblaster card.
It really had me stumped...up until I formated both drives and re-installed on an 8gb partition, then used the rest of both drives for a 282 Gb Raid 0 array.
Im all sorted out now.

Re: Newby RAID question
I am going to overclock a Pentium 3.0 HT presscott D0. Would it impact my CPU performance too much if I were to just do a software RAID? Hardware RAID looks like it's gonna cost me in the ballpark of $130 for a 3ware PCI card. does anyone have a suggestion for the most cost effective way to regain m...

Ataching Fan to CPU Heatsink
Do I want my fan to blow on my heatsink or blow away from my heatsink to pull heat off? also there are two arrows on the side of the fan. One pointing up and one pointing away from the fan in the direction of air flow. Does the Arrow indicate which way the air blows? Should the side that the Heat se...

Re: Newby RAID question
I have read through the entire manual today looking for that answer but it didn't make mention of RAID in any way.
Is it done through the BIOS? should I just designate them as the same drive and it will treat them as such?
Edit: yeaaaaah...i feel real dumb after those two suggestions.
