:drinkers:
Nope, but i did it after i swapped, and cleared the Logs, so that i would be sure if the error was continous, which it was. Cleared the logs, and the error came right back.

Re: Trouble with Xeon 5410 on Intel S5000XVN

Okay, so now i got the bios updated, and booted with the CPU. But.. (oh yes, there's always a but...) now i get an error that says something about mismatched core voltage, and because of that it wont boot up, but just slam me in the bios every single time..

Any bright ideas ?

Trouble with Xeon 5410 on Intel S5000XVN

Hey LR.. So i got my brand new CPU home, opened the package and smacked in the CPU. When i put it in, the system started, but instead of all the LED's on the board making it's own little show, a solid blue LED just kept on glowing, and *nothing* happened. http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/se...

Dual CPU.

Hey LR. Now, i've invested in a new Quad-core Xeon CPU, that should arrive on wednesday. Now, i have a discussion going on with a friend, that is sure that i can mix it along with my current dual-core Xeon. (current: Xeon 5110, New: Xeon 5410) I would say that it's impossible to have 2 cpu's with 2 ...

Xeon. Pro's/Con's ?

Hi. Now, i went out and bought a cheap setup with a S5000XVN Intel server board, a Xeon 5110 and 4 Gb Fully Buffered DDR2-ram. I saw the review you had on the site with this board, and 2 5365's on it. But before i go out and buys a CPU or 2 and spend a lot of money on them, i would like to know, wha...

Re: Intel® Workstation Board S5000XVN

I'm located in Denmark, so newegg wouldn't be the first place to look ;) But i did find the RAM blocks i need on local sites with some help.. And quite surpricingly, these ECC ram modules isn't that expensive as i thought, which is quite nice. And as it is now, there is already 4 GB HP branded ram i...

Re: Intel® Workstation Board S5000XVN

Yeah, i figured i couldn't use SAS drives on normal SATA plugs, since SAS uses a slightly modified SATA cable.

Oh okay. Can you try and find some links to some FB-DIMM's for me then ? I can't seem to find any :)

And thank you

Intel® Workstation Board S5000XVN

HI LR. Now i'm thinking about getting this board along with some Xeon's (prolly 2x 5435) since a friend of mine don't need it anymore and want to sell it to me. But i've got some questions about it, since i really don't have much experience with theese kind of motherboards. First of, it's got 6 SATA...
