To answer my own question, if you mount it so that the arrowed piece is at the back of the motherboard, and you put the slotted bracket on and then tighten the screws, you can manage it. But if I tightened the screws first I would not have had enough room to then insert the bracket. Hope that helps ...

975XBX2KR & Zalman CNPS9500A

Has anyone successfully mounted this particular fan on the 975XBX2KR motherboard? The blue heat sink fans on the board seem too close to the processor to mount the fan successfully. If someone has installed this combination, using a vertical configuration, how did you orient the mounting bracket?
