?? Embarrassing: *WHICH* GTS 8800 ??
Hi all, This is about as noob as it can get. I'm almost embarrassed to even ask. I'm looking to get a GeForce 8800 GTS. At the nVidia site, however, there are seveal manufacturers of this card. Take a look here please. My guess is that nVidia makes the GPU but other manufacturers actually build the ...

?? Memtest86+ Interpretation ??
Hi all, I just upgraded my memory from 1GB of PC-5300 to 8GB of PC-6400 and I was hoping someone might be able to explain some Memtest86+ results. My specific question is about the MHz reported on the third line of output shown below but any other comments are appreciated, of course. With 1GB of PC-...

?? Seeking Recommendations ??
Hi All,
I was wondering if I could get some recommendations on a decent PCI-E x16 card. I'm looking for something decent (not great) for about $200. I'm going to use it on Vista-64 so it needs 64 bit drivers. I don't care about being able to OC.
Thanks much

?? Do I Need a Different BIOS ??
Hi All, If this is not the correct forum, please let me know where is more appropriate. I have an ECS MCP61PM-HM mobo that came on an HP machine . The BIOS is obviously an HP BIOS. There are no settings to tweak the memory speed/voltage because, I'm guessing, the mobo is OEM and "locked". ...

Re: ?? Will "Too Much" Memory Degrade Performance ??
I plan to use the machine as a Vista-64 test development machine as well as a SQL Server/Windows Server 2008.
I know it's probably overkill but God I just want it! May the OS never have to page again.
Thanks to everyone for the responses.

?? Will "Too Much" Memory Degrade Performance ??
Hello once more, As I mentioned in a previous post I am planning to install 8GB and run Vista-64 (actually, Server 2008). I'm hesitating on the 8GB now because I read on a couple other sites that "too much" memory can actually slow down a system. Can this be true and if so, under what circ...

Re: ?? Should I Buy a "Kit" ??
Okay, but kits only have two modules (at least the ones I've seen). I'm needing 4 modules. Is there a way I can purchase 4 modules that "have been tested together"? I'm hoping if I get two kits (total of 4 modules) of the exact same type of memory from the same maker I should be okay. Also...

?? Should I Buy a "Kit" ??
Hi everyone, I'm starting to educate myself about memory and I have what I'm sure are simple questions. I have an Athon 64 X2 5600+ machine which has an "ECS MCP61PM-HM" motherboard and "NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430" chipset. The machine supports 8GB of RAM and I intend to ma...
