I haven't tried booting off a cd or anything. Don't have the Linux LiveCD or a DOS based disk.

What about my XP 64 bit cd... can I boot off of that?

I just wonder why in the heck it doesn't see the drive. In the BIOS is shows the drive (hmmm).

OK... Here are the temps.

Processors Thermal Margin 50 C

Internal Temp 34 C

Remote temp 30 C

Blowing cool are out the top and back.

Well I'm back! Did just what you said Dan... Put a small amount right down the middle of the CPU. Put the Big Typhoon on.... fired her up... and still get the red light. However, I also get a "No hard drive detected" so I checked all my connections to the HD and still nothing. The good new...

Thanks Dan! I just cleaned off all the extra grease. MAN... it was all over the cpu and the cooler! #-o I took on the cpu chip and clean it off (all over the edges.) I hope it's works ok... I believe it's the CPU light. I'll re-adjust the heat sink and see also what the temp is in the bios.

I may have a bit too much coolant grease (I tend to over do stuff). I use the TUNIQ TX-2.

I'll keep you posted how it goes.
