what about for like accessing Videos. I will keep most of my data on it. Docs, Photos, Videos. Etc.

Is the Cache not much of a deal? I've never used Hitachi so I don't know if they are any good. How are they in reliability?

Ok, that looks a little advance. I will give it a try tho. I was looking for something more along the lines of the Seagate utilitie. Also if it is 3rd party I would prefer it not to be a resource hog.

I have the software the comes with my WD hard drive backup some important folders every evening. I am getting a little tires of the slow software that they have. What software do you use or have used to do backups?

I have been having some random shutdown on boot up issues. Sometimes I can boot up and sometimes one second in it shutsdown. Any idea?

Low data transfer speeds over USB 2.0

I am doing a Christmas project. I need to get my webcam 20 feet away from a computer. I have 2, 10 foot USB cables but the data transfer is so slow it takes the 720P and sends it down to 120x120. I a, getting enough volts. I have tested that. Help would be greatly appreciated.
