EVGA 780i, Sound Blaster Audigy SE, Windows XP This is the second time in a few weeks that this has happened; While surfing the internet and talking on AIM voice chat my speakers decided to output a very loud static-electric noise. The noise lasts about one second. I think that I had my feet on the ...

Speedfan Temperature Help
I have had an Intel Q6600 (B3 stepping) processor for about a year now. I have just recently changed motherboards from an EVGA 680i to an EVGA 780i, and I am currently using Windows XP. I have my processor overclocked to 2.9 ghz, using a voltage of 1.27. PC Wizard shows the idle CPU in the low 40's ...

Re: EVGA 780i w/ Audigy SE PROBLEM!
Thanks for the suggestions. I actually found out that the PCI slot was bad on the motherboard. Board was exchanged for a new one that seems to be working (knock on wood).
I appreciate everyone's help!

CPU fan at 100% but fan speed keeps changing
I have an EVGA 780i motherboard, Q6600, and an Arctic Cooler 7 Pro HSF.
In my BIOS I have manually set the fan speeds to 100%, however, when I boot into windows I can hear the CPU fan periodically change speeds. (speeds up then slows down).
This is extremely annoying. Any suggestions??

Re: EVGA 780i w/ Audigy SE PROBLEM!
The Integrated audio is disabled.
Also, there are no older drivers to uninstall, this sound card is a new addition to the motherboard.

Re: EVGA 680i BIOS ISSUE
Nope, the problem persists. It seems like coming out of standby, turning off the computer, and turning it back on triggers this off.

Thanks for replying.
Yes I have flashed to the latest BIOS and the problem still occurs. Think the motherboard is bad? I have had it for a year.

EVGA 680i BIOS ISSUE
Recently, every few times I boot my computer a BIOS memory test is initiated. After the test, I am told that no PS/2 mouse is detected (I don't use a PS/2 mouse). After that message, I am finally told that no system disk has been detected. To temporarily solve this I set my BIOS to default. I have r...
