yep the 9600 would be better its just a matter of cost, I can get an E7200 for £51.01 of off ebay or for £67.34 from an onlnine trader. The AMD 9600 costs from £110 from USA or £118 from the uk. The AMD dose look better in terms of performance, but for the price the intel surley is youre best bet. I...

I GAVE IT A GO BUT UNFORTUNATELY DIDNT HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO DO IT PROPERLY SO I GAVE IN, IT SEEMED TO WORK QUITE FAST AT THE BEGGINING. I WILL START IT AGAIN, DO I USE THE TEAM NUMBER 38296?? IT SEEMS TO BE WORKING AT 280 TO 780 ITER A SECOND. MOSTLY 280 THOUGH.

I have found out that the sound gets better after like 5-10 mins of gameing, its not perfect but its much better. Its like the pc needs to load up properly or something?? when you say turn off x-fi do you mean the crystalizer and the cmss?

I can check it every now and then and it is stable AT 50. I have increased the fan speed so the big fat heat sinc on there dose its job, there is no chance it would overheat. I had the problem with my graphicss card when i restarted my computer, it just loaded up with the lines and the pink colour. ...

Nope, i still have crackling distortion and lagged sounds during games. Im also getting some weird interferance like when im useing the mouse wheel i can hear it through my headphones???

i just disabled the sound card i never uninstalled anything. I found out i just needed to install the sound card drivers as I had never done it befor.

its just got weirder, i can now here my mouse wheel scrolling up and down on the page. It sorta creeks. But when i have my headphones off i cant here the mouse wheel at all. Its like some sorta elctrical disturbance. this is getting weirder all the time. could i have a stacticed board??

Yeh i switched sound cards and speakers and im on XP and the sound is still distorted lagged and not there. it crackles and everything. it cant be my speakers.

Ive plugged my sound system into the on board sound card and i am not getting any sound. Is there a way to enable the sound card, i tried device manager and sounds and audio devices but I cant find the right option to turn on the sound card.

I tried vista but it is to uncompatible so im now on XP. could it be a faulty sound card or that the card cannot cope with the high quality sound the games porduce?

The pc is very laggy, I find the responses like moving to the left are very slow its like seeing myself in the past, even on medium settings.
