Thanks for the reply. Not a laptop.. However, I have an older desktop that would require an enclosure or cabling for a USB transfer or IDE to my HD. This would be my last resort if I couldn't get the Averatec working so that I could boot. Would like to do that before a complete reinstall. DonDE
