Question about multi GPU folding
Well im folding on a crossfire 4850 rig. But when trying to get two clients to run for each card i was looking around the CCC and saw that crossfire was enabled and running (by that i mean in a state where you can disable it until whatever app is using both cards is shut down). So does this mean tha...

Re: just ordered parts!
I remember having to build my dads pc, and old 680i and E4600. Both are brilliantly reliable for doing practically everything. Shame hes not a gamer, feels like that motherboard is going to waste (and xfx like to rub that in my face when updating drivers).

Re: Trying to choose a processor...
Didn't you say you'd go with a faster dual-core before? Say I upgraded the 9600GT to a 9800GT, then it would be a 3.0ghz dual-core compared to a 2.4ghz quad-core, with every other part being the same, and the dual-core being cheaper Sorry i was abit confused as to the options, i thought that it was...

Re: Trying to choose a processor...
well if you can why not go with the q6600 and the 9800gt? if you really wanted to save money the 8800gt and the 9800gt are the same thing, but the 8800gt's cost less Not in the Uk there not. 9800gt's in the UK site at around £90 compared to the £105 of the 8800gt's. But the GT's are nice, at least ...

Re: Trying to choose a processor...
this is not entirely true. a q6600 can easily be overclocked to 3ghz on any board, and they perform about the same in games The e8200 will overclock a bit more under the same circumstances. But now i think about it an average overclock between the two isn't use, and nor is the processors impact on ...

Re: Trying to choose a processor...
If your a gamer i suggest you go with a faster dual core, such as the E8200. The performance wont be too far off the phenom you said and it will play better in games. Both will do fine, but if you play alot of FPS games then every little FPS can help, especially when running high resolutions which c...

Nvidia raid controller
So i set up a raid 1 for my dads PC, but the motherboard used an Nvidia raid controller. It cant have been more than a month of it working perfectly fine that the two drives de-synced and broke the set up. So i fixed it back up and rebuilt the backup but seeing as this happened so soon i looked on t...

Re: 3.2GHz Intel Core i7 Finishes Cinebench R10 in 19 Seconds
I bet im not the only one thinking how far could that little chip go under dice. If it overclocks anywhere near as well as the 45nm core 2's, 19 seconds is the least of my worrys

Re: Hey
Well, what kind of system are you running? Nothing special to put it bluntly, AM2 6000+, 1950pro with 2gb of corsair ram. But, whenever the stuff arrives it should move up to a slightly more modest E8200 sitting on a P45 with a 4870. But obviously i had to do it after a 24" monitor fell out th...
