Re: My Overclocking Addiction

Looks like we may be "helping" each other as we are using the same mobo and your mem specs look like my Corsair :) How far into the bios have you gone and how much have you oc'ed before? Sadly I've just got off work and am totally whipped (it is 01:48 here). If no one else comes along I'll...

Re: Calling All Photographers :D

May have to keep tabs on this thread!!! I well enough into old fartondom that I miss my days in the dark room doing B & W and some color slide stuff. Haven't gotten into digital that much even though I've been fooling around with a Fujifilm S5000 for a few years. Would love to have my Bronica S2...

Re: DreamCatcher v3.5 Worklog

Thanks guys!! I do tend to ramble so hope y'all don't mind............lets see if I can get this worklog caught up to "current" status shall we? August - September Interest in completing DC v3.5 was suddenly brought to the forefront due to several things - primarily domestic tranquility……....

Re: DreamCatcher v3.5 Worklog

Later on I did more testing and…….Well, well again how things change so quickly for me……….it seems it is not the PSU ladies and gents! Have a look at the following pics of the mobo. http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d140/jedihobbit/DreamCatcherv3/Water%20Cooling/BurnSpots1.jpg http://i34.photobucket...

Re: DreamCatcher v3.5 Worklog

Okay have an air movement question.......... The SG01 has two fans on the left side over the gpu area. As of right now they are both set to "exhaust" the air. Also on the left side is the fan to cool the HDD which is currently set to "intake". That leaves absolutely nothing for t...

Re: DreamCatcher v3.5 Worklog

Just realized I forgot to mention the primary starting point for the watercooling system……..I’m using Aqua Computer’s Aquaduct 240 PRO Mark II as that starting point. This will place the “big” stuff outside, avoid clutter in an already small case, and simplify a lot of issues Okay so I mounted the m...

Re: DreamCatcher v3.5 Worklog

Early March ‘til Early Summer Story behind the GPU..... In the beginning the original GPU was an Evga 8800GT SC, but I wanted to max the folding abilities so tracked down a G92 variant of the GTS. The big concern was if the water block would match and went on a wing and a prayer! We start out by lo...

Re: DreamCatcher v3.5 Worklog

Now on to cooling things…..Since the mosfets on this board are kinda laid out rather “uniquely” I ended up using the Enzotech BMR-C1s left over from doing the M3A78-CM. These are for video cards and their 14mm square size allowed me to cover 2 chips at a time. I then finished it off with Enzotech MO...

DreamCatcher v3.5 Worklog

When I joined a while back, part of the reason was to do some worklogs to get y'alls' input. Sadly it didn't work out that way. :( May still do that in retro!) However DC v3.5 is the one "unfinished" project and will try to make a sensible worklog based on my “notes”. Dates will be given t...

Re: Please watch for motorcyles!

Apparently he's going to be in the rehab facility for 3 months. I really wish there was better communication at that hospital. We heard only a few days so he can learn how to get in and out the wheel chair. This is gonna suck for him. Hopefully the websites he likes aren't blacklisted . At least it...

Until ATI will give me drivers like nvidia's Cuda for folding, I'll be stuck in the nvidia camp. 'Course I can't afford anything new anyway! :(

Can't say anything about "big" cases as I am a mATX freak, however I am a big fan of modular as you only need to use what is necessary and makes cable management a whole lot easier. :)

BTW did you select a case yet??

Re: What can I do to my case?

If you plan to paint the interior of a case may I suggest investing in a pop-rivet gun and de-mill the case. My first interior was done assembled and I still haven't gotten all of the overspray and "floating paint" out of it. :( I've disassembled all the rest that I've don the interior on ...
