Do people think that conroe would work on a LGA775 945G Mobo?
Im guessing it would, but with its own chipset at launch, it makes me wonder.

IDE cabling
Hi guys, I was wondering, is it possible to have both a HDD and a regular DVD-ROM drive on the same IDE cable?
If this is possible, how should the master/slave setup be?
Thanks y'all.

Onboard 7.1 surround sound
SO because my PC is MCE, its got a 7.1 onbooard soundcard. AC97 or something. Do I have to enable some secret setting to get them working? Or use special speakers made for the job? Because I tried plugging in 2 other sets of speakers into the rear surroind ports, and a proper sub into the sub port :...

Does the MB make any beeping noises as you turn it on? With it being a fresh build it could be anything really! :? Have you made sure everything is plugged in correctly? lol. I mean like something could be slightly loose, say the graphics card for instance. Someone else might have something construc...

Dead topic dude! :axe: Erm, I guess you have to be lucky to get a 600 pointer work unit. Keep folding long enough and your bound to pick one up. (Hint: Allow the large work units to be sent to you (In the options somewhere)) I've done one of these and they do take alot of solid computing to complete...

Ideally I would like to upgrade to watercooling some time in the future (wouldn't we all!), so a totally silent case isnt essential. The mid-case idea sounds great. As for the hard drives, space for 4/5 sounds good. Bear in Mind I currently only have 2 HDD's but might expand. :P Though if there is a...
