I think I just give up experimenting with ATI. Had too many issues with its drivers, even with my old laptop, which has a Mobility Radeon X700 in it.
I mainly chose this HD4670 for the passive cooling. I've only bought it a few weeks ago, will try to exchange it to an NVidia.

I have the same issue with Sapphire HD 4670 Ultimate. It usually happens after 2-3 hours of gaming or 3d-testing. Machine carries on running fine, but without the video.
