Re: Intel temps/fsb vs high multi
well, the temps for that at normal clock with stock is about 36 without load and 40 with load. so if you overclock to 3.6, it'll be about 40 without load and 45 with load. the Ram will also slow you down if it's not made for overclocking. but i prefer you upgrade to a cooler with heat pipes. those a...

Re: Which CPU is better? P4 3.2 with HT or Pen D 2.66 dual core?
it stated that the pentium 4 and D are supposed to run around 68C. and yes, those are idle. i can turn off HT for the P4 and i can disable 1 core for P D in windows XP. so it'll be colder. these temps are when i'm in the bios.maybe the temp monitor is more sensitive on this board.something's just no...

Re: Which CPU is better? P4 3.2 with HT or Pen D 2.66 dual core?
i'm using an intel D101GGC mobo. it can't overclock and i'm not willing to buy a new one. my old one got fried because of a few screws left on it. and i'm not using stock cooler for either CPU's. i'm using some evercool coolers. they work pretty good. Penty 4 3.2 with HT-55C. the penty D is 64C
