Ftw and non ftw sli?
I have a gtx 285 FTW 2gb and i was wondering if i could sli it with a non ftw 2gb gtx 285. I'm also wondering if a gtx 285 1gb can sli with a gtx 285 2gb FTW. Other than that i'm pretty sure the manufacturer doesnt matter right?

Power supply wattage?
Yeah so I got a corsair HX1000W power supply. But the components i use in my system probably only take up like 650 watts.I got the 1000 watt power supply for future upgrades like sli. So does the extra 350 watts still end up being used for no reason and show up on my electric bill?

Yeah, when i was runnign memtest86 i could only see the CPU temp and not the core temps. SO if the cpu was like 45-50c i didnt know how high the core temps were so i just shut it down in fear of melting my cpu or mobo. I thought they might have been 70+ if the CPU temp was that high. I'm planning on running majority of the day and plan keeping this cpu for as long as possible. How long would the cpu last like this?

So then what temps should I watch out for when looking at the cores? So 70C is a good limit for the cpu but what about the core temps?

Cuz i was using memtest86 for like 15 min and the temp for the CPU (not core temps) was like 45-50c. Is that safe?

Are you referring to the cpu temp or cpu core temps? Btw i'm using a CM v8.

Is NB frequency 3184 mhz ok?
I have 6gb corsair dominator ddr3 running at 1600 with 796 mhz dram frequency. Timing is set to 8-8-8-24. This is on a evga x58 sli motherboard. Is it ok running at nb frequency of 3184 mhz?

Nevermind... got it but the results werent what i expected. The Dram frequency is now 796 mhz. The NB frequency is 3184 mhz. and the cycle time jumped from 19 to 24. I feel like something went wrong...

Ok so I'm basically a complete newbie to the computer BIOS. But my DRAM frequency is set to 530.7 Mhz butI'm pretty sure thats not right when I'm using Corsair Dominator 6gb DDR3...
