Re: GTX 460 1gb vs. GTX 465

Might see some benefit from going to the GTX 460. What spurred this decision on? Game not playing like it should or is money burning a hole in your pocket? yes the game is not running well sometimes. I am actually going to get a new psu and/or maybe upgrading my RAM from 4 to 8 gb ddr2. To be hones...

Re: GTX 460 1gb vs. GTX 465

As Nate said the 460 all the way. Here's my question(s) though. Why do you feel like you need to upgrade? What CPU and monitor do you have? If you're gaming on a 19" widescreen @ 1440x900 then you wouldn't be getting any tangible return. my cpu intel core 2 quad 2.66 ghz my monitor is LG 21.5&...

Re: Should i get the hd4850 or hd4890?

I'm going to have to say 5770. The 4850 won't really be an upgrade from the 9800 GT. You might get a 2-5% increase. The 4890 is big, can get warm (unless you go vapor-x) and you will likely need a new PSU to support it. But the 4890 is still a bit faster than a 5770. I guess a better question is, d...

Re: Should i get the hd4850 or hd4890?

I second the 5770 card - give yourself DX11 yeah but a majority of games out right now dont even support dx 11 Future-proofing is a big part of consideration for a computer part, what good is a card that only plays games decently for a year? And to not support the next generation of DX--? I think D...

Should i get the hd4850 or hd4890?

I know sounds simple right? Maybe or maybe not. Anyways, I am trying to get enough money to purchase a new graphic card because i want to replace my current 9800 gt (Nvidia). Now, I could go for a gtx card but the thing is they are all too big so it would not fit into my HP case not to mention i mig...

Re: 8600 GTS Power Supply

yeah, thats a decent enough power supply for your card but that is a very low-end card u hav there so i am pretty sure it wont require a 6-pin connector let alone a four pin unlesss u plan to upgrade to a 9 series nvidia card. its weird but i typed in 8600 gts in newegg's search bar but it kept show...

I looks really nice from within the case but on the outside it looks pretty simple with a very bland design. I mean they could have at least make some interesting color designs.

Re: to get laptop or desktop

wanna build you own computer? If you love gaming try this site http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/ make your own pc but a laptop is fine as well. If u got enough money try not to buy a desktop thats from HP or Dell at some retail store (although alienware is fine). Try buying all the necessary parts u need...

Re: 4650 or 8600 gts?

Both cards are ok but they might tremble upon the awe of gtx295's frame rates in terms of gaming.

Although 8600 gts is Nvidia I decided to pick the 4670 because it would've faired better than the 8600 anyways in my opinion.

Still i would get the gtx 295 over the 4890 :)

Re: Will my PSU run a 4850 or 4870?

Thats true, the 4870 does require a lot of power so you should go with the 4850 instead but not so fast [-X First your power supply needs replacing with a corsair 650-750w power supply. Regardless of which ps brand u buy check the amps on the label. I checked your other post you stated that u had bo...

Re: How much power

I would recommend a 750w power supply. And since its an XFX brand those use a lot of power and if u want you can visit neweggs power supply calculator. Dont know if its accurate but you can give it a try.

Re: Need some opinions!

they all look good except for the processor. Its not that bad but i would have preferred an Intel core i7. And if you are buying the power supply and video card separately then that is a good deal indeed.

Note: Might wanna get a decent cpu fan as well:)
