Re: Good computer for home??

How old is the Phenom II Quad Core compared to the Intel® Core™ i3-530 which is new this year? Is it just as fast and do the multi-tasking that I will be doing? Did you know that the Manufacturer Limited Warranty period (parts & labor) is for 90 days? I think the Gateway is for a year. I am going to...

Re: AMD Athlon(TM) II 235e dual-core processor

Sounds like a great laptop! Almost a gaming machine, except for the graphics. The Athlon II is fairly new and at 2.7GHz Dual Core, it will be able to handle pretty much anything non-gaming. You should be able to upgrade the RAM, although you might have to use 4GB DIMMs, which are EXPENSIVE, especia...

Re: Windows 7 differences

They are the same but with Pro you can do network backups, join a domain, apply group policy controls, it has file encryption built in, and Pro has XP mode. While with home premium you can do all of your file sharing and pretty much everything a standard user would want. Pro is usually designed for...

I am looking at getting two new computers with Windows 7 on them. I want to be able to see the HD from one computer from the other and all the sub-directories.
