umm yea they shoud not be running that hot under stock settings, I have seen inproperly placed Intel HSF's get to 70 degrees, but after removing them and putting them back, it drops far below that. I actually see the problem lying with IHS rather than HSF. The C2D are really poorly made and sometim...

Sorry about the multi-post, still getting used to using forums. The P5N32-E SLI and the P5N32 SLI deluxe are completerly different. the "-E" means it is using the 680i chipset. and its northbridge, properly cooled, can burn you to the touch easily. any one have any tips? Yeah I know it is...

Just thought I should share some tidbits of advice for you all. Core 2's have maximum temps of around 60 degrees C, temps higher than that can cause damage. To clarify, you are talking about idle temps right? Since stock settings on most c2d's I have seen run over 60C constantly during load. If the...

Re: Northbdige cooling advise

Hey everyone, I have a P5N32-E SLI 680i motherboard. The north/ south bridge gets very hot. The motherboard already has some pretty extensive heat piping. I was wondering, has anyone tried any after market coolers with this, or any 680i motherboards? I used to have the P5N32 SLI Deluxe motherboard ...

Easiest way to check it the HD-suspension, is it just like a black rubber-band or more like black flat strips - more like shoelaces? Shoelaces Okay. You have the new revision, so do I. I thought that I could maybe compare lenghts to see if it were some difference between the two versions. I have re...

Look at the right side of the card... just above where the fan header (power header) is on the board. B? Or am I way off? The drivebay housing is blocking the card from "sinking down" towards the motherboard? Which revisi...
