its awesome. I have pictures but the gf has the camera so I'll post them when it returns. I've seen pictures of the Nh-d14 before but nothing can really prepare you for just how huge this thing is.

Re: do you have a cheap 4 or 6 cylinder car?
yep and I lose low end torque right up to about 3200rpm when the turbo spools. Its a very fair trade off for the top end power. When your pushing lots of power back pressure eventually works against you and you need to increase exhaust size. I know people running 4" exhausts on 2.0L 4cyl and th...

Re: So I just ran speedtest at school.....
wow all of you have such crappy upload speeds. 25 down 3 up is ridiculous. I'd much prefer 15 both ways then 25down 3 up. I'll stick with my 25down 15up for $40 though

Re: Any ATI Radeon HD 5000 Video Card Owners With Grey Screens?
5750 here and a friend has a pair of 5770's neither of which have had any issues. In my opinion the number of grey screen issues is widely over reported. It was something for those who were holding out for fermi to trumpet to help reassure themselves they had made the right decision. Its a real prob...

Re: WHICH ONE TO GO FOR???
for what your using it for you'll be okay with a dual core so my vote goes to the PII and try to unlock it. You take a bit of a risk but even if it doesn't unlock you won't notice much of a difference between the PII X2 and the AII x4

Re: Thermalright Venomous X CPU Cooler Review
is there any way to attach one of the noctua 140mm fans to the venomous X? Would be curious to see if that evens out is performances with e nh-D14.
Also very interesting to see the big difference the extra pressure makes on temperature.

Re: do you have a cheap 4 or 6 cylinder car?
sorry I'm going to have to say that that is completely lame. Also my 4cylinder sounds way better then either of those clips. (of course that might have something to do with the 3inch exhaust fed by the giant turbo but thats being picky)

Re: Makin an AMD gaming pc
I'd grab a different case (your paying for a cheap power supply you won't use when you could get a cheaper case or a higher quality one) I'd also second/third swapping the zalman for the xigmatek and grabbing a gigabyte motherboard. You can also save a few bucks on th psu if you get a comparable cor...

Re: Which cooler should i buy???
the freezer64 is crap, I don't know why its recommended so often. I'll second the vote for cooler master 212 and add in the Xigmatek HDT-RS1283. Both of those coolers are 159mm though so it may be a close fit with that fan. If you need something lower profile the coolermaster gemini ii s is under 90...

Re: Board Suggestions for a 965BE
sli kinda sucks on amd platforms now since the only nvidia chipsets are now outdated and of course there are no new ones coming. So you don't really have many choices. Your options are one of the two 980a boards in the high end. Both are about $160. The asus board uses ddr2 the msi board uses ddr3. ...

Re: Suggetions for new gaming mouse + keyboard
I've used a few mice over the years but by far my absolute favorite is the razer death adder. It just feels right in my hand. Quality is also top notch. It is a mouse that favors larger hands though. Really I find the best way to pick a mouse is to just head over to your local computer store and jus...

Re: NVIDIA GeForce GF100 Fermi Video Card Facts
lolz! Guess they have to keep the 300 series available for re-branded parts.
Curious whether 480 will be a 512sp and 470 will be 448sp or if 480 is the 448sp part and 470 is some other chip (gf104?)

Re: PSU w/out 8pin ATX power
you'll be fine with just a 4pin connector. Its based on the cpu not the motherboard. An 8pin connector is really only necessary for heavy overclocking in most situations.

wow congrats to the winners. They're all very good and definitely professional quality. I must say though considering some of the other entries I'm a bit surprised by the winners. Guess I just missed what the judges were going for. All the winners look like cards that could be seen in a retail store...

Re: Dec 2009 Contest - Design Your Own HIS 5870 Video Card Art!
I'd make sure you at least have a final entry that its just the sticker with no added accessories. I imagine that this is what they will be judging since that way all the entries will look the same and will be judged only on the design of the sticker not how well you shoved it onto some graphics car...
