Re: Building new PC - Help will be appreciated.

I'm actually planning to overclock the CPU, nothing major, just a bit past the 4Ghz, surely my motherboard and watercooling will help me to achieve that. Its the reason why i'm not getting the i7 over the i5. I won't be overclocking the GPUs, however, they will be unlocked via AMD's drivers, because...

Re: Building new PC - Help will be appreciated.

Thanks guys. I ordered the 6950s and went for the Asus Maximus IV Gene-Z mobo. I'm afraid my PSU wont be good enough tho. Here it is : http://www.overclock3d.net/gfx/articles/2007/07/25135053633l.jpg Here's what AMD suggests : http://www.corsair.com/power-supply-units/enthusiast-series-power-supply-...

Building new PC - Help will be appreciated.

Hey guys, I haven't been around here for a long long time (a year or two) but I'm sure you still love me lol. I'm currently in need of a new PC which can only be delayed until December 1st. That's because I've started a gaming news blog ( http://www.betacake.net ) and I will need the new computer fo...

Re: AbuDhabi's ATIC eyes full Globalfoundries ownership

But if they make the hardware closer to Europe, they will be making a larger profit from that since Euro-Dollar balance is something like 1 : 1.5 Doesn't that mean that if the hardware costs less to make and then you sell it to the European market; you make more money? I do agree with you tho, they ...

Re: Gigabyte v Asus ???

Well, stuff works differently here in Greece.

You basically return the item back to the store where you bought it from and they contact the manufacturer for you, send the item and call you when the replacement is back to go grab it.

Its a shame Asus didnt replace the mobo at all, it was a good one.

Yeah i think it might help them drop the prices a bit more as well since its most likely going to cost them less to make them like that.

Re: Gigabyte v Asus ???

I've had a terrible experience with Asus this summer actually. My gf's mobo, PW5 Deluxe started being weird, not reading correct CPU clock, ram etc I returned it, they told me a week later they'll replace it but it never happened. About 3 months later (after visiting the store repeatedly) they decid...

Re: NVIDIA GF100 Fermi Architecture and Performance Preview

I'm quite disappointed as well and i'm definitely not an Nvidia fan. I expected it to completely destroy any game thrown at it. Also, the hair rendering video was impressive but a tiny detail many might overlook is that the computer running it had 3 GF100s in it running tripple SLI mode. I don't kno...

MSI Big Bang Fuzion

2 vids from CES 2010 on youtube, enjoy : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6lXD1lMehM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2C9kMc_wNA Too bad the support is very limited and you'll need to wait for their drivers update to support 3 cards. Maybe MSI is trying to motivate ATI and Nvidia to work together for ...

Google is your friend ! I found these which frankly look identical to the die cut we've been given. http://www.hisdigital.com/UserFiles/product/200908191434072752.jpg http://resources.vr-zone.com/image_deposit/up2/1249533707e1ee5927ff.jpg Source : http://www.hisdigital.com/ro/news_show-87.shtml

I thought that exact same thing about the readings being from different sensors this afternoon. Also, i ran the full sensor test and highest CPU core temp reached was 51 C. So what's the verdict? Are these temps good? I just now started "caring" about what temperatures my computer's hardwa...

Various software and their results : http://i45.tinypic.com/dzht9c.png I might have typed this wrong about the 6h of gaming, a more accurate representation would be like this : After 6h of gaming, having shut down every program, the temperatures are as shown above. I believe realtemp recorded a maxi...
