Looks like a nice setup! I'm loving every second of my Core 2 Duo! I just need a nice case sticker for my case. I didn't get one since mine is an ES.

The high-end DX10 cards are all going to be around $500-600 when they come out, there's no avoiding that. If you want to hold off getting a vid card for a while and you need one now just get the x1900XT as it'll last you longer than the x1800XT would as there is a pretty good difference between the ...

I have that monitor also, it's great! The refresh is perfect, I have been playing games on it for a couple weeks and haven't noticed any ghosting at all. The screen is beautiful and vibrant, best 19" widescreen I've seen. If you can get a triple head thing that will support the res I would high...

It's worth it to wait for DX10(assuming you'll be upgrading to Vista also) because not only are the cards going to be much more powerful but the drivers are going to be greatly improved. Google DX10 and read some of the articles on it. And besides, how long has DX9 been around? It's going to be a lo...

Well, I fixed AquaMark3 and ran it. I got 125,327 which I'm not real happy about. I'm not sure hoe much the cpu factors into the equation in AM3 but it didn't seem to help much. I'm also really not liking this vid card much. It doesn't like to be OC'd much and seems to run pretty warm even with a Za...

I can get some of my conroe's up to 3.92GHz, but after that it's BSOD city all the time. How were your temps on water cooling? I've been debating on whether it's worth it to put together a water cooling system for conroe since the temps typically don't get too bad. If I were going to run it at full...

Yeah, I'm very impressed with this RAM, especially since it only cost me $160 AR. I haven't pushed it as far as it can go yet, I'll start doing that soon. Right now at 3.8Ghz it's running at a 4-5 divider, if I run it at 800Mhz I think it would be well over it's limit so I'll have to drop the clock ...

I'm really sorry I haven't posted anything else up guys, I got really sick a couple days ago and have been out of commision for a few days. I have been playing with it a little bit but haven't really been benching much(mostly playing HL2 since I just bought it a few days ago, great game!). Anyway, I...

System is built. I will have pictures up hopefully tonight of the build and everything. So far I haven't run a whole lot of benchmarks but I have been running SuperPi with the OCing I've been doing. Here is the best so far: E6600 2.4Ghz(1066Mhz fsb) -> 3.8Ghz(1693Ghz fsb) DDR2- 400/800Mhz(4-4-4-12) ...

The Eagle Has Landed!!!!!

I got my Intel Core Duo 2 E6600 ES and Intel D975XBX Bad Axe motherboard in yesterday. Because of the holiday and everything I haven't finished getting everything set-up yet. I have the system built and I just got XP MCE loaded but haven't gotten all the drivers installed and XP up to date. Once I d...

That sucks because that wa...

Just to let you all know, Fully Buffered DIMMS will be the new standard. May want to take that into account when purchasing a system for Vista. Oh yeah, there is no such thing as DDR3 either. WHen are fully buffered DIMMS going to become the new standard, and what makes you believe that? Just curio...

Thanks! I really appreciate that. If they have other memory around $200-250 they recommend let me know. I really want to stick closer to the $200 mark if I can as this build has already cost me alot more than I wanted to spend(I think it'll be worth it though).

Not sure if you got my PM but the RAM I ordered is 5-5-5-12 OCZ Gold so it should be able to run lower timings, but I'm not sure how it'll hold them once it's overclocked. We'll have to see. I think it'll do better than a set of G.Skill ram though once it's overclocked. Every set of OCZ ram I've use...

Apoptosis - The guy I got the E6600 from also supplied me with the r304 XBX so it would work with the Conroe. Once I found out how much more newegg was and that they weren't shipping r304's yet(still on r302 as of the last review a week ago) I thought it would be best to get the MB from him. He ship...

It's a stepping 5, which I believe is the newest available. I'm hoping for at least 3.2Ghz on air, anymore than that will just make my grin even bigger! I can't wait to get ahold of this thing! Just placed my order with newegg so I should have everything by the end of the week. I will post specs thi...
