Re: On-board graphics question

Do you know model of your motherboard? If it has hybrid SLI or crossfire, then you can make it work together with your discrete graphic card so better performance for free

Re: ATI vs Nvidia and AMD vs Intel

Also the new Nvidia cards (4xx series) have higher power draw and higher temps than their ATI equivalents. Also I'd say ATI is a bit ahead in the price to performance ratio. 5770 is an amazing card for being below 200 bucks.

Re: help troubleshooting

Thinking its probably the motherboard as well, see tons of MSI boards not starting up. Seems like 80% of hardware problems is a faulty motherboard. My M3A78-EMH apparently can't handle the wattage of my cpu and has major instability issues, get like annoying 2 seconds stutters even in super old game...

Re: 2300$ build

their built completely the same, but the end products still vary in how "perfect" they are. The ones that turned out better are the 1090T. With decent cooling 4Ghz on 1055T isn't hard, but 1090T will be 200-300Mhz higher still when both are adequately overclocked. Its basically 100 more fo...

Re: 2300$ build

Forgot to include the price of the accesories, was wondering why it was so expensive. Usually only the price of the computer itself is included, so right now it would be about 1500 which is decent. And I see your getting your prices from the canadian newegg site. With the currencies right now, (cana...

4gb is sufficient, he said its 95% gaming anyways. Besides, when the newer games come out and need more ram, he can always buy another pair and shove them in. Not everyone has the 1grand to blow on a processor like you lol, dam that comp in ur sig must have cost 3 grand, so jealous. Anyways back on ...

Re: ATI vs Nvidia and AMD vs Intel

Seems like your getting an AMD processor and ATI card so you can grab this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131633 latest chipset and has Onboard ATI graphics so it can hybrid crossfire with whatever ATI card your getting, won't add much but might as well. For the process...

Computer Science vs Computer Engineering

Like the title says, looked at like tons of sites but all the same stuff, saying their both basically the same and stuff. Anyone know the differences and which would be better for a computer programmer.

Re: Pirating better than paying for movies? (humor)

I don't think its racist really, I mean theres a billion chinese people so using logic of course there's more chinese piraters than any other ethnicity. Hell, theres probably more chinese piraters than the population of Canada. But seriously, what can they do about it at this point, any security the...

Re: New Gaming PC

Looks more like a budget system to me, every part is like a generation old already and there's almost no room for future upgrades with that motherboard. There's really no reason not to grab a cheap $100 i5, the performance gain is just so much over the core 2 duo. Course, the motherboard for that wi...

Re: Intel or AMD?

AMD has been great with compatibility with new models. AM2+ and AM3 processors were all backwards compatible with AM2 motherboards so I expect them to continue that, that and their low prices is why people even bother buying AMD right now anyways. Performance wise, Intel is just so far ahead, there ...

No big surprise about the hack, the hacking community has gotten so good there's really no way you can stop them anymore. Besides, having a jailbreak available probably will encourage many people to buy it for the free apps and such. Personally I wouldn't even want an iPad for free if i still had to...

Re: Thermaltake SpinQ VT CPU Cooler Review

Well, it was pretty clear that it must have been another person that did the review because most the previous reviews have had other coolers compared against. It's unreasonable for the person doing the review to have to spend hundreds of dollars getting different coolers just so they can compare it ...
