Re: NVIDIA GeForce GTX470 & GTX480 SLI Recommended Cases

I'm sure a lot of cases will handle these cards fine. A lot of manufacturers have really stepped up in the cooling department the last few years. I think the cases you want to stay away from are the old cases that still have 80mm fans or those really cheap cases that go for under $50. But I'm pretty...

Re: Koolance GeForce GTX 470 and 480 Water Blocks Now Available!

The LED illuminated GTX 480/470 is a little over the top. Kind of useless because it would be hard to see in most cases. I agree with gwolfman that they should include a single slot bracket replacement.

Re: noob question :(

Also gives you head room for expansion. So instead of buying a power supply with wattage that just meets your needs, you buy more. In the future, you can add things like more hard drives or a 2nd video card without going out to buy another power supply. Doing things like overclocking your cpu and gp...

Re: another noob question

I know pretty much nothing about Adobe Premiere Pro so I can't really answer that question. Just my guess after looking at the min requirements on Adobe.com, it doesn't seem like they ask for much from the video card. I would assume that a decent video card will do and most of the performance will c...

Yep. They are supposed to accommodate motherboards with a 4-pin or 8-pin.

Re: XFX Radeon 5970 Video Card w/ 4GB of Memory

I'm glad they didn't just slap on 4GB of memory, but also added support for Eyefinity 6 to put all that memory to good use on giant resolutions.

Thanks for the news because I would not have known this with all the news and discussions about the recent release of the GTX 480 anf 470.

Re: NZXT Tempest EVO Mid Tower Case Review

Thanks for the review!

Looks very similar to the Antec Nine Hundred 2, but a little roomier for those long video cards.

Re: newbie needs your opinion

Go with the i5, preferably the i5 750 if you can afford it. It will be great for gaming and video editing.

Re: another noob question

Assuming you are referring to the video memory because you posted this in the Nvidia forum, I would suggest going with either 512MB or 1GB. But that isn't the way to tell which video card is good. Which games are you playing and on what size monitor? What is your budget? I would probably say the low...
