Re: HTC One X Phone
I got a HTC Rezound last December, and the hardware is very solid with no issues. The 720p screen, like the One has, is just quite amazing. The battery doesnt last long when I do it, but just loading up a 720p Blu Ray rip onto it is just gorgeous. That said, ICS came out like 2 weeks after I bought ...

I love that side by side photo, makes the GTX680 look downright quaint.

I'd ebay it an make $50, then save up some more by fall and get the GK110 King Size card Nvidia should have out.

It does look very good; yet still a $100 overpriced. Are they trying to suck that extra $100 out of every fanboy they can before they do the price drop?

GTX680, faster, cheaper, about equal power usage. But can you find one? Not likely.
But maybe here:

Says 3-5 days on shipping, but its a PNY brand, not sure about that brand.

Re: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 Video Card Review
The 680 looks like a real winner, but I have a suspicion they were developing this to be the mid range 560ti replacement but then hit such high performance they decided to make it the the 580 replacement instead. As you'd think the GK110 would be the 580 successor and not the 104. Which makes me won...

Re: Epic shows their Samaritan demo running off 1 Kepler car
Well if its single gpu then it just replaces the 580 at $500, which isn't too bad. I guess it depends on the game.
But yeah I've been hating on AMD lately for pricing their new cards above their old instead of replacing them and hopefully Nvidia doesnt do it too.

Epic shows their Samaritan demo running off 1 Kepler card
So I figure we have all seen Epics next gen Unreal Engine 3 Samaritan demo. It took Epic 3 GTX 580s in SLI to run that Demo in real time. At GDC Epic showed it running off a single Kepler card. Which is just plain awesome to think about the games we could get in a year or two with that level of perf...

Re: AMD Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition & 7850 Video Card Review
I hate their pricing setup. It's based around competing with Nvidia's last generation which will be replaced soon enough and it doesn't even make any sense. The 7870 seems like it's competing with the 7950 yet costs $100 less, but the performance is so close I doubt anyone could tell the difference ...

Re: Matte or Glossy Screen?
I have a HP 27inch Glossy and recently bought a Samsung 27 inch matte since its also a TV, and the quality difference in color and also the way blacks appear is far far superior with the glossy HP monitor. For the most part the HP is so bright that I only run into glare problems in the afternoon or ...

Re: Gaming Mouse and Keyboard Questions
I have the G500 mouse. After some substantial fiddling with the included software I was able to get it to the point that it feels absolutely perfect. For me there is a gigantic difference in how well the G500 feels and works compared to a cheap mouse. I had a G5 before, and I broke the cord on it an...

Re: AMD Radeon HD 7770 and 7750 Video Card Reviews
There is no reason to upgrade if AMD keeps this pricing scheme, because the performance per dollar you are getting is equal or less then last gen; and I wonder if that is even a good business decision as if they priced these 7000 series parts against Nvidia's next gen they might have been able to ge...

I got a Razer Blackwidow Ultimate Keyboard. I bought the Blackwidow because it has mechanical switches, and has in interesting feel to it, but that was offset by the loud noise. But within a month the plastic logo they stupidly placed where you rest your palm below the space bar kept popping out, an...

Re: To Upgrade or not to upgrade?
I'd wait a few months and try and save up some more. If you can manage to save $10 a week to it that will be quite the difference. Intel should be releasing new CPUs within a few months. Also your graphics card is a very weak spot in your system, so saving up and getting a new GPU as well would be a...

Re: Did Dell give me an equal to what I had?
It looks like a good deal. I cant find a good benchmark review to compare the cpu's directly. The clock speed difference is not a huge deal as its not the only means of improving performance. The new CPU has an integrated memory controller drastically increasing memory performance over the old syste...

Re: AMD Radeon HD 7950 & XFX R7950 Black Edition Video Cards
I like the performance level and the power usage and how it compares to the 7970. It is exactly what a 6950 replacement should be, except I think anyone who is buying one before Nvidia releases their next gen parts is a fool, as odds are that the price will plummet. $450 now, maybe $300, $250 even i...
