Re: PSU Calculators

372 Watts, 2 fans(1 case 1 cpu), 15% capacitor aging. I guess im a little unsure as i see most people recommending at least 650W for a system with a card that needs 2x pci-e power connectors and 850 watts for a dual gpu setup I tried going more high end, with high speed sata drives, crossfired 5850s...

PSU Calculators

Just wondering how accurate are these things? Im looking at http://extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp Seems like the peak wattage numbers are a little low. maybe its cause i dont have any other pci cards/only 2 HDDs Radeon 5850 Phenom II x4 925 or 965BE (not sure yet) 4GB DDR3 (2x XMS3 2GB)

Upgrading

pretty new here, I'm planning on building a new PC using ASRock 890GX(leaving the option of upgrading to dual gpu in future), AMD Phenom II x4 955, radeon 5850.
I was wondering if i could scavenge my old 3 GB DDR2 800MHz and use it or would that be a bottleneck in the system.
