Half-Life 2 was fun...but there's no way I'm giving Valve any more of my money for a few more hours of content. The game took them 6 years to develop and took me about 10-12 hours to beat :/.

Valve's method of packing game information basically. It's how you can have multiple Steam accounts on the same PC (with the same games), but only have one copy of each game on the computer. Your GCF files are in the <somwhere on your pc>\Steam\SteamApps\ directory edit: more info http://developer.v...

The guide you (OP) posted was for the Sapphire X800GTO^2, not the X800GTO. This page: http://www.techpowerup.com/articles//overclocking/vidcard/127/4 is what you want. You might've been trying to use the wrong bios. The guide also tells you what the Fuses data should look like for a moddable card, s...

if the memory works then it would be better to get 2GB versus 1GB.... Ever consider value memory from a name brand? If you're actually going to use all that ram (gaming, AutoCAD, rendering, etc) then 2gb of anything that actually works is better than 1gb of high performing ram, especially since you...

I think its funny how intel prices for much worser processors are still stayin high. well, wouldn't you think that a brand new micron precess, re-tooling the entire Fab plant line for the new .65µ process cores; make the cpu's more expensive at first? at least their temps are back down around the A...

1 coolemaster ammo 533 case (I figure this case is as good as any other) 2 evermax ed565p 535 watt power supply (good power supply?) 3 amd athlon64 x2 4400 processors (figured that I want the 2mb but for the difference in cost to speed of 4800, don't seem worth it) 4 liquid cpu cooling fan system k...

The only downside of the TT BT is that some people have had difficulties in mounting the thing. Aside from that, I'd recommend the CNPS 9500. (or just go for water cooling :) )

Re: best Opteron and Mainboard for OC'ing

Please help me to find the best Opteron and Mainboard for OC'ing ?? cause I'm gonna buy new OPty PC :D thx so much If you haven't bought a board yet, wait. RD580 comes out in a couple of weeks (especially if you want crossfire eventually) and is quite promising. You'll see boards from Asus and DFI,...

What's awesome is that there was another price cut a little while ago. The Opty 165 is at ~$280 now.

Assuming that the skins aren't a GCF, just backup your cfg files and delete the source folder. Steam will recreate the files for you when you restart it (and since the the actual game is basically in the gcf files, you won't have much to download).

Thank you...a voice of reason. ALL of the features introduced in CZ should've been there from day 1 in source. Instead we get a buggy game with broken patches. (I play CS:S and some CZ btw...haven't played 1.6 in quite a while)

holy crap! are you serious? that's like a professional video card, isn't it? man, that's definitely worth the money. The Quadro is a workstation card, yes...I mean, I GUESS you could use it for gaming, but it's not really optimized for that (likewise the 7800 is not really optimized for the stuff t...

The 1.1ns ram is very nice...should provide for some good OCs. Same with that cooler...it's the same one that Nvidia uses on the quadro line.

$199 shipped at ClubIT :)

Pretty good card for the price...I wonder how it performs in comparison to an unlocked x800GTO.
