Re: Kingston SSDNow V+100 128GB SSD Review
Ok, thanks....
One last question before I let this go....The USB cable that is include will supply sufficient power for the SSD, and no additional power source will be needed. Is this correct?
Thanks again!

Re: Kingston SSDNow V+100 128GB SSD Review
Thank you for the informative reply. I learned a lot. Corvette on a go-cart track! I get the point. However, if the SSD _IS_ to be used as an external USB 2.0 drive, then the V+100 128GB might be a good choice because it has aggressive garbage collection in light of the fact that TRIM will not be av...

Re: Kingston SSDNow V+100 128GB SSD Review
Joe Evans did a great job on the review today. I still have a couple of questions... 1. Given the "real-world results," how do I make use of the "synthetic benchmark" outcomes? Should I consider them at all? (I'm not a gamer, if that makes a difference). 2. In terms of degradatio...

Re: On-board graphics question
Thanks for the replies. One more question: How do you know if you're having conflicts? Is it apparent on the display?

On-board graphics question
When a graphics card in placed in a computer with on-board graphics, what happens to the on-board graphics? Is it deactivated completely? Does it still function, but is ignored?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Thecus Announces USB 3.0 PCIe Add-In Card
Hello, Experts -- OK, so if I install Thecus USB 3.0 PCIe Add-In Card in my computer, will I be able to realize the vastly increased speed of USB-3.0? Or, would the speed still be limited (i.e., USB 2.0) by other characteristics. (My computer is 1.5 years old, Intel motherboard + 9400, 4GB RAM -- no...

Re: ADATA S596 128GB JMicron JMF612 SSD Review
Interesting review. The USB connection: does this mean that the drive can be used as an external USB drive right out of the box?
