Quick question, would the BIOS still read 735 1700MHZ if you do the mod? I'm thinking of trying this, though still struggling with the idea.

Woot. Finally bought a Clevo M570A barebone.

Well I finally gave in and ordered the barebone with a 7800 video card. I was able to get it from Pro-Star for a decent price of about $1400 or so with reseller status. The thing looks beatiful and I have parts coming in a few days. BTW its a huge laptop 17" FTW. Once I start building it, I'll ...

I've done this before using just one router and a switch. If you don't have a switch you can probably make it work if you disable DHCP on the second router and connect the 100 ft cable from the rotuer to port 4 (or whichever is the uplink port for your model).

Anyone have heating issues with laptops w/ 7800 GPU

Seeing as how these laptops were released just a few months ago, I'd like to know if anyone has experienced issues with laptops with nVidia's 7800 GPU (More specifically laptops with Pentium M's as well). I'm considering buying one in the near future and would like to know if I'm buying a portable t...

Did I win yet?? j/k :) I was just wondering if there is a minimum age requirement for the contest. I told my little brother about the contest (17 yrs old) and he wants to join. Is the contest limited to one per household (same last name, different address)? Do I get disqualified if my brother joins ...

Just wondering if there are any rules about how many posts must be made this month or something? Or can anyone that google's and finds this contest can enter? Just wondering. I know of a few other sites that have the exact same contest, can I join a contest on their site too or would that disqualify...

I got a reseller account from Pro-star this week and I'm trying to get pricing from them for the barebone. The only problem is you lose a lot of warranty "perks" when going barebone. The cheapest this laptop will go (preassembled) is about $1900 + tax and shipping. 512MB memory, Nvidia 780...

Yeah MSI isn't the best brand when looking at motherboards. They are getting better but their quality is still lacking far behind of ASUS, ABIT and a few others. I've had to return 3 out of the 7 MSI motherboards I've bought (when building systems) because they either have no display or are too pick...

Yeah it is strange, I've never experienced a problem like this. I figure the problem stems from the fact that the card was manufactured a while ago and after doing some research Leadtek actually phased this model out a few months before the first AMD 64s were launched. I'm exactly sure when the firs...

Sorry for the lack of updates on this issue, internet has been down for a few days. Anyways over the weekend, I came to the conclusion that the specific video card (leadtek A350 TDH with VIVO) has some serious issues with certain AMD 64 Platforms especially the VIA K8T800 Pro chipset. I was bored so...

Well it isn't the best PSU but it should be able to handle the basic system configuration. Also the 5900 was running fine on some generic 400 Watt PSU. I'm going to test it with a different model amd 64 motherboard and see if I can get the thing to work. If has the same problems then either the Vide...

Worked perfectly. 3. then formatted the system with the 5200 installed (for testing) worked 4. installed then installed 5900 without formatting same problem. I di...
