Re: Which one is a better gaming CPU, AMD or Intel?

if these are your only choice then i'd get the i3 7100. it's newer, higher stock clock speed and has hyper threading. There ya go - I would also say if you are building it yourself then keep an eye out for deals on i5 cpu's also. You may find some deals that make it really close to i3 prices! If yo...

Re: Anyone seen anything like this?

Dunno what FF is but make sure your video card is not overheating. Looks like the same screen I had when I had problems with my old 660gtx (or 560 dunno one of them) Uninstall and reinstall video drivers. Does it lock up the computer? My monitor goes to sleep and once in a while comes up with just a...

Re: Favorite Flash game

I know that Flash/Browser games are no longer huge like they used to but I still think they are an interesting sub-group of video games when you look at them. I remember playing a lot of random flash games on the Internet when I was younger, so I’m curious to know if you have any that you would lik...

Re: TV Tuner cards for PCs?

That is weird. I remember when I had mine (again, years ago) I got better reception on the computer than I did on my tv from an antenna! Everything i read is Hauppauge is a godly company that will make everything better for everyone as long as you go with their high end models. If you buy the lowly ...

Re: TV Tuner cards for PCs?

I am going out on a limb here because I have not had a tv tuner card in a long time but most all of them are just a tuner so they are all about the same other than recording options like how many shows at once, etc. Used to have multiple cards in a computer to record more than one show! I would reco...

Nice. Are they just on the rain gutters? I wanted to do something like that in our sunroom with using clear PVC pipe for curtain rods but the heat would not be good in the enclosed area of the pipe

Re: Upgrading HP17 series laptop

just a side not that if you do clone the 750gb hdd to the 1tb ssd you will have 250gb or so unallocated space that will have to become a separate 250gb drive :) Most clone programs should be able to let you resize the main partition if needed. I know I did it with all my clones from small drives an...

Sandisk. I have used Sandisk in everything and have had the least problems with them compared to any other brand I tried (or even a non-brand cheapo thing). Good prices when they are on sale! - https://www.bestbuy.com/site/camera-memory-cards-usb-drives/micro-sd-sdhc-sdxc/pcmcat748300453560.c?id=pcm...

Re: Upgrading HP17 series laptop

A lot of those older laptops were bios locked to a certain type of WiFi cards. I have a few Lenovo's that I have to run a mini USB dongle for their WiFi That Plus 5ghz doesnt have a huge range so will it even work for her in classes? 2.4ghz works a lot better at long ranges and N does 450mbps (max)...

Stadia - thoughts?

So Google announced Stadia, its cloud gaming platform.....so what are your thoughts? I think it will fail UNLESS 5g is brought out nationwide (quickly) because there are a lot of people in the USA that do not have access to super high speed internet unless you are willing to pay $200 a month or so. ...

Sorry I can not be of great help. You are leagues above me! Maybe look at your motherboard and any limitations it has in regards to slowing down the memory process going to and from the cpu...? It should not be slowing it down that much I wouldn't think.... DAMMIT - https://stackoverflow.com/questio...
