Topic: Can the Corsair 620HX Power Supply Handle 8800 GTX SLI?

According to newegg, the 520W handles SLI as well (check specifications): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6817139001

Although I don't know if it can run 2 8800s in SLI, maybe 7950.

Nothing new, I knew for ages about this. 3 years ago the heatsink-mounting tray on my motherboard had one of the 4 hooks snap off, so I went around stores and repair shops in the area asking them if I could just buy the new tray (piece of plastic, should be around $5 max), most stores told me I woul...

From previous experience, I wouldn't suggest a Sceptre monitor. The one I previously used was a Sceptre and I had hundreds of dead pixels after half a year of use. I tried running the dead-pixel recovery software and that didn't fix any of the pixels. For the last 2 months I'm using this: http://www...

Nice, and I was afraid 8900 wouldn't be able to counter the X2800XTX when I first saw the R600 specs. Might need to get 1kW power supply for these things tho :/ A 1kW PSU is probably overkill unless you're going SLI/Crossfire. Anything at least 550W and above should do the trick. You're forgetting ...

I agree with Apoptosis, 8800GTS 320MB is a DX10 card, X1950 isn't. Combine that with the fact that it's $100 cheaper and that alone makes it worth buying. The 8800GTS 320MB review from a few days ago really shows its power: http://www.legitreviews.com/article/459/1/

Well, the support depends on the driver, not the card. The card just dictates the maximum resolution it can support. So yes, with the right drivers ATI Rage should be able to support widescreen (as long as it's not higher than maximum). As far as getting the right drivers, I'm not sure. I had simila...

Yes, currently I'm not buying the parts yet. Sorry for not making it clear, but I'm just planning which parts to get. I will probably start buying in March or April. Right now I'm just trying to come up with an original idea for the case. I'm trying to come up with some ideas, so if you have any cas...

according to fx57.net, the X2800XTX version will come with stock clock speeds of 700/2200. That's crazy. Does 8800GTX even overclock to that much?

P.S. that thing looks like a leafblower, I bet that's what the handle's for

Why don't you post your current PC specs? Then it will be easier for us to figure out where you need upgrades. I was somewhat surprised to see you using a Packard Bell since I haven't seen a computer from them for the last 8 years or so, but as I just found out from wikipedia (I use it more than I s...

So I'm assuming the regular 8800 GTS 320MB doesn't overclock as well as the XXX version of it? In other words, chances are if you don't get the XXX edition, 630/2070 speeds are very unlikely?

If you're trying to do that, a better idea is to put the whole pc in the fridge:

Is Microsoft digging their own grave?

Recently I've been skimming through the DirectX 10 section on Wikipedia, and noticing that it's following the same trend as Vista. In particular, Microsoft is trying to put more control on who and how gets to use it. Now I have yet to try Vista myself (so I really don't know if it's as evil as other...

I don't know if your wireless card uses some sort of utility with it or not that needs to launch before your connection starts working, since some do. If that's the case, then several steps can be taken to make it start faster. Windows launches HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVe...
