Re: Question

Cool. So it sounds like I need two OEM copies and as long as I wait a few months from the initial install I can upgrade my MB and CPU with no problems. Correct me if I am wrong here.

Re: Question

how well will Win 7 run with only 2 gig of DDR2? I don't really want to buy more DDR2 ram if I am going to upgrade the MB to a DDR3 board soon and I cannot afford the Ram, MB ,and OS all at once.

Question

I have a PC with Win XP on it. My wife has a dell laptop with Vista on it. I want to upgrade both to windows 7. Will one OEM system builders copy allow me to do that or do I have to buy seperate copies? If I plan on upgrading my system soon can I also re-validate my copy more than once?

wii laser

My wii messed up. The little plastic tab that contacts the "worm" gear to move the laser messed up. I see lots of laser eyes for sale online for around $10. The pictures all look like they are missing the little plastic contact arm. What do you all think....is the plastic piece there and just not sh...

Re: Post Your Rig!

I have an AMD X2 5000 black and I run it at 3.0 constant with no prob. I concur that you may have a heat problem and nothing more. Do you have the RAM OCed? I would think you could get 3.0 easily on that CPU. Could be that the FSB wont go high enough if your multi is locked.

Re: hdd question

I used this after making an image of my curent HDD onto a back drive http://www.partition-tool.com/giveaways/epmpro/ I saw an article on C-Net about it. It worked soo easily. It was a slider bar, moved it over to enlarge the boot drive up from the 137 it had and click apply...presto done! no hassles...

Mac computers

Ok so this may be a dumb question and I know there are some strong feelings out there on the PC Vs. Mac issue. I would like to know a few basic things if someone could help me sort them out that would be great. My wife just got an I Mac with Intel Core 2 Duo 3.06 . This thing is completely contained...

Re: hdd question

My hdd is seagate so I downloaded their utility. I guess I will make an image of my drive on a USB drive using Seagates utility and then try to partition fix. My OS is updated to SP3 but The disk is SP1 and I have disks from MS for SP2 and SP3. I assume the reason for needing to Slipstream and make ...

Re: hdd question

I am sorry but I have not idea what you mean by slipstreaming in the SP. Would you mind giving me a step by step on what I need to do to make my HDD one partition at its full capacity without re-installing windows?

Re: XFX 5770

in terms of performance, even the 4870 is slightly better due to more memory bandwidth eventhough it has less computing power. The 4870 is not DX11 which the 5770 is. In the reviews the 4870 is not tested against the same games as the 5770 so I can't really "see" what the difference is to offset th...

So is the 5770 basically the best sub $200 card out there excluding the 4890?

Re: XFX 5770

Not attached to the board at all, here it is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128430 not sure why Gigabyte would make this. I figured H57 was the next advance in chipset above the H55 then I noticed it was only x4 on the PIC slot. This one looks better yes? http://www.newegg....
