Re: Didnt Circuit City go bankrupt yet? - Yes, yes they did :p

I stopped by CC in Houston this weekend just to see if they had anything worth picking up. Their inventory is started to look a bit thin so I am guessing that store will be closing its doors pretty soon. I ended up with a cheap CD and some DVD-Rs and that was about it. Even with the 20%-30% off you...

Re: A cardboard case for greener computer building

My son once made a computer case out of a cardboard box and duct tape. It lasted a few weeks until it annoyed him ever so much to get a real case.

Great review! Enjoyed it very well. Glad to see CoolIT taking a major standing in the market place with this cooler. Knowing some of their dealings and benchmarking of other products and an ability to learn from one of the OEM companies who has bailed out of the liquid cooling market altogether in t...

Exactly!

When was the last time the vents were sucked out to get the dust bunnies removed?

Most CPU's throttle back in speed if the temps rise.

Re: Intel: Use our CPU (not their GPU) for games

Why then does a GPU have more number crunching capacity for things like F@H vs. just a CPU?

Intel missed the stats page on this.

Being a design engineer for over 20 years, this comes as no surprise. Ever since the Pontiac Fiero days when you couldn't even squeeze your hand in place to get to the engine parts, GM has time and time again made things that require dealer attention. In the long run, vehicles can be sold cheap to t...

That's the most German I've read where everything stated made any sense. :)

289,90 EU's is nearly $300US.

Knowing that this CPU is the second generation; the best working, the extra dollars may be the right thing to purchase.
