Re: Logitech G700 Mouse?

I've got a couple of Logitech gaming type mice (G5 V2) and have yet to use the setpoint software on any of my rigs (XP, Vista, or 7). No button mapping issues or anything. I picked up each one on sale for under $40 and they've been super solid the past few years. As far as Razer goes I recently gave...

Re: Looking for a great wireless router - help needed

Uhh, yeah...I'm a spammer. I haven't had any issues so far with drops. We have multiple wireless devices running as well as a few wired switches and what not. The QoS is also pretty easy to setup. Let's see...I think it has 2 USB ports for printers and network drives. All in all I've been very pleas...

Re: Looking for a great wireless router - help needed

A lot of folks seem to like Netgear but I can never go back to them. I have had 2 wireless routers and several cards from them...all of them had issues after a short amount of time. The last router I had was a DLink gamer lounge (DGL-4500 maybe) which was pretty solid for a number of years. A couple...

Re: Tell us a bit about yourself?

I'm a 37 year old Andy with a wife and a little guy (who's about to turn 4). I live in a small town near Lawrence, KS (Rock Chalk). For a job I work at a telecom company as a billing analyst. I play around a lot in the back-end of the billing system. Previous stuff - spent 9 years in a Nasty Guard i...

Re: YARGGGGGG!

Yeah, I know I didn't need to get the same board, but I really like it and what it has to offer for a micro-ATX format. I think a lesser board would have blown up much sooner after that lightning strike. I was on my WC machine and the LCD screen turned white when we got hit. My wife was on her netbo...

Cool, thanks guys, that is my conclusion as well. I have been chasing/testing everything I can think of and wanted to make sure I wasn't having a doh! moment and missing something obvious.

YARGGGGGG!

Good morning LR community! I've got a problem with a gaming rig and figured I'd throw out everything that's going on with it to see if you guys come to a similar conclusion as myself. First of all, rig specs: CPU: AMD Phenom II 965 BE MB: MSI 890GXM-G65 HD: Samsung F3 500GB RAM: GSkill 8GB (4x2) VID...

Re: Links 'o Plenty (Ultimate Links Thread)

Do any of you guys use ninite for builds or upgrades? I have been using it for a while and it saves a ton of time with both builds and doing upgrades. There's a free version along with several pay packages. I've considered getting a family pack for the few offenders I know who refuse to update anyth...

Nice writeup. Have a couple of friends looking for DLNA capable devices and I think this might fit their needs.

Re: Best Buy - Desktop PCs Now Displayed in Mouse & Printer

I noticed the same thing at our local BB as well. In our house I'm the only one using a desktop, everyone else is on a netbook or tablet or what not. I do some side work outside of my daily job and lately everything I have done has been laptop related.

Re: Getting disappointed lately...

Wow, we are all in a bit of a tech funk at the same time, lol. I haven't read about squat the past couple of months and haven't even had the itch to buy anything. My water cooled rig needs some major TLC and an upgrade but I've put myself on a spending freeze for the rest of the year. Hopefully next...

Re: Official Folding War 2011 - Smack Thread

Gonna skip the contest this time around, my sis-in-law is still staying with us and is camped out in my [email protected]#%@#%@-bedroom indefinitely. Anyway, it gets up to 80o in there so my WC PC has been shut down until 1) she makes up her mind what she's going to do with her life or 2) this fall.

Re: Keyboard/ mice suggestions?

I'm kind of a Logitech fanboi when it comes to peripherals and have had very few bad experiences with their products. I am with you regarding M$ stuff, the worst. Comfort is the big thing, when I put my hand on a mouse I know instantly whether or not it will work for me. Go someplace like a Best Buy...

Re: Who here has an Android Phone?

Right, rooting makes it free. I don't remember the name of the app that will let you do it without rooting. I'll poke around and see if I can find it again. I've considered rooting it just to get rid of some of the bloat. Although I gotta say this sucker zips along pretty damn fast compared to my pr...

Re: Who here has an Android Phone?

I thought there were a couple of different apps that you could buy to get the mobile hot spot without going through the Sprint app. I want to say the one I looked at had a one-time charge of $30 and that was it. I have an Overdrive 3G/4G hockey puck that goes everywhere I go. That's my hot spot. :mr...

I know, it's 80 degrees in my office this morning and that's only running 1 card. I wonder if I can water cool the office itself?
