Re: Spark Plug Wire Ohm Testing For My SRT-4 With Local Sets

Man, you'll bench ANYTHING huh? ;)

A Megger would give a more accurate reading and measure possible insulation issues I think (went through this with a Miata, $75 for about 2 ft total of wire, factory issue).

Re: Keyboard/ mice suggestions?

+ 1 for the Logitech keyboard that Dragonfury recommended. This is the one I use. I game and watch movies etc and the white backlight is the easiest to use for me. The other backlit keyboards (red, green, blue) are either too dim or annoying. I also use the G5 mouse. The good thing about it is the a...

Re: Need Help New Mobo!!!

I have to agree with the previous posters. While socket 775 motherboards aren't too hard to find ones that fully support SLI are. If you can come up with upgrade cash then this is an option: http://computers.shop.ebay.co.uk/PC-Components-/3667/i.html?_nkw=680i&_catref=1&_fln=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m282 ...

Re: Who here has an Android Phone?

Yeah, it would be nice to get rid of the crapware that I don't use at all but I just hide it in the app drawer. I use ADB Launcher and thats about it. Not to the point of rooting yet and rarely use the Mobile HotSpot feature. The phone works great so I don't feel a need to take the chance of bricki...

Re: Who here has an Android Phone?

I know of several people who have Androids. I am still have a Blackberry but I plan on upgrading soon. You can do so much more on an Android than any other phone, in my opinion. Upgraded to the DroidX from a BB Storm. I loved the Blackberry Storm but didn't use most of the networked capabilities. T...

Don't know how much bloatware is installed on your DroidX but I found this. http://www.dkszone.net/root-droid-x-one-click-droid-x-root-android-2.2-froyo If nothing else rooting your phone is nice to have Wifi tethering free. No monthly charges. http://www.appbrain.com/app/wireless-tether-for-root-u...

Re: FTP site

FileZilla should work OK. However FTP is an inherently insecure protocol especially if it is Internet facing. You could use IIS to setup a web server but that can be problematic and time consuming as well. One option might be this: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/windowshomeserve...

Re: dilema

I will change my recommendation: 1) Take the $150 - $175 you have now, put it into savings 2) Take the next $150 (in 2-3 months) put it into savings (now at $300-$350) 3) Take the saved funds and do an entire rebuild in 6 months when you are ready (the anticipation will suck but the reward will be b...

Re: Maybe I'm To Senstive

I don't find it any more offensive than how they treat Americans in general. While I'm not from the south I found their little trip through the south offensive in several ways. That said, it is part of the show. They fit the bill for "Proper English A-Holes". I could rattle off many a sterotype of B...

Re: dilema

While not an AMD guy my move would probably be to upgrade RAM and OS first (assuming XP to Win7). Depending on usage IMHO quad cores still don't gain you as much in performance as you would expect (although I'm not up on AMD CPUs anymore). Also I would recommend installing 64-bit if it is Win7 for t...

Ha, So much for my waiting and see. My sister is visiting from NY and it seemed too much of a temptation to NOT ask her if she might pick up a "Rampage iii formula". So I did not resist and the board is here with me now  Now I have to work out what memory and CPU to fit. Any views on that or s...
