there are some good deals there, but I can't see going out to CompUSA in the middle of the night to stand inline with a crowd just to get items with multiple rebates. I know MS is making a big push on vista, and a lot of stores hope to grab a few more sales with tie in promotions. but I'm not in a ...

The PSU shouldnt be that big of a deal, I should be able to use an aftermarket as long as the main power connector is a standard ATX. At first glance it appears to be a standard ATX connector. I popped the case open and I see the HSF is different than anything I've used. The HS mounts on the CPU/mob...

I think that is the only change you will need, since I BELIEVE Dell uses standard motherboard screw locations. well your wrong they don't. Almost everything is proprietary, expect the HDDs, Memory, and Cpu. Motherboard, cases, cooling, all proprietary and won't fit in a new case That SUCKS! I was e...

I think that is the only change you will need, since I BELIEVE Dell uses standard motherboard screw locations. If you are not going to overclock, I have never had a bad HSF...even the cheapest of the cheap kept it cool enough. I regularly use stock HSF setups and have had no problems even with runn...

Dell parts in an aftermarket case?

I'm trying to find someone who's done this. I have 2 Dell Optiplex GX 270's(freebies) I'd like to put at least one of them in a different case maybe even both. Has anyone here ever done this? If someone has do they have any advice or work arounds for problems they came across? Right off the bat I se...

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=223188 I do NOT recommend doing this, but if you have to. I would also say to reinstall Windows. Make sure to delete all partitions using the windows install program, then create a big one, or as many little ones as you want. Mike I dont recommend that either! Tha...

A friend of mine just called and said he installed a new drive in his comp. went from a 120g to a 320g, both WD's. Problem being now his main drive is lettered H instead of C! Can this be fixed? I've alrdy had him try to change the letter through disk management and it says you cannot change the sys...

Bears beat Saints by 4 Colts beat Pats by 9 and Colts beat Bears by 6 Making Dungy the first Afro American Head Coach to win the SuperBowl! I am still hoping for Lovie Smith to take it all, when he was Defensive Coordinator for the Rams he was the best and he should have went on to be the head coach...

I have a Lian Li PC-75, it will accommodate 13 HD's depending on configuration. Yes I have the Lian Li EX-23 and love it! Lian Li PC 75 has 7 external 5.25 bays, 3 external 3.5 bays and 5 internal 3.5s If you run one ROM drive and one floppy you have room for 13 HD's! This case has (6) 80mm case fa...

Hey Knightrid, go to [urlwww.socketaplus.com]Socketaplus[/url] and enter the forums there. It's an expert den for Socket A stuff. Also, I've one case of a 250 mhz fsb there, so high stuff can be done. Just not that safely. :P Seems socketaplus.com has crashed. I get this when I try to enter the for...
