I'll admit I'm a bit impatient at this point! I did order around 10am last Friday, but the card wasn't processed until today. I paid the extra $3.99 for the rush processing, but I don't think it kicked it. I'm sure they are busy and I do like Newegg. I was hoping to get the beast built this weekend....

Newegg Order Processing

Anyone else get frustrated with Newegg's order processing time? They say 12-24 hours, but that is from the time they actually process your credit card. I ordered last Friday, but they just processed the card this afternoon and indicated it would be another 12-24 hours before it's shipped. I guess I ...

Virtual Machine(VM) products

Anyone have experience with either VMWare or Virtual PC 2007? I'd like to have a setup where I can boot to Vista 64 and run *most* software applications. In the event something doesn't work quite right, I could open up a virtual window and run that app under XP or Vista 32. What I'm most concerned a...

I've been running Vista Ultimate on my laptop for about a month. The machine has 2gigs of ram and shows 656megs ran with Eudora and IE7 open. Not a bad OS, the UAC can be a major PIA.

From the Rocky Mountains

I've been visiting the site for a while, but finally signed up today. I'm getting back into building my own after buying for far too long. Used to build a ton of machines back in the 486 days. I'm about to build a new Core 2 Duo system. Maybe Quad... Maybe Extreme... This site has all the info I nee...

Nice site guys. Thanks for the additional recommendations. I"m going to go with the Corsair PS and consider adding the 8800. The quad core might be an option, but I read a review showing that the x6800 actually worked better with Photoshop.

x6800 Vista 64 dual boot configuration

Hey Gang - I'm building a system designed primarily for Adobe and other graphics applications. I'd like to setup a dual boot system for Vista 64 and Vista 32 or XP. Any comments on the following configuration: motherboard - D975XBX2KR processor - x6800 power - SeaSonic S12 EPS12V 650W memory - 4GB -...
